I didn't mean to derail this thread from a safety focus. F9A320Driver brought up safety and the CPO base chiefs and I chimed in with my blurb - which I think is an important issue that SC and BL are totally ignorant of. But it's just one issue in a constellation of stupidity that hiring serious people like KW as CP and putting DW back in charge of the school house would immediately rectify. But what do we know anyway...

While I fully agree that putting KW & DW in place would be a huge move in the right direction. I think that in order to change the safety culture and really anything else you would have to send BL hiking. For that to happen I think it’s either gonna take an accident or BB moving on.

There has been plenty of warning signs, the increase in tail strikes, overruns, the evacuation, W&B off by 20k, and the unfortunate deal down in MSY. There are probably others that we are not told about.

BL won’t talk about the operational issues with ground schools and you can barely get a CP to come into ground school to address anything. We’re only left to surmise that they don’t care.

The only glimmer of hope is the rumor that the FAA will not allow them to appoint who they would like as there minion as the CP. BL stated that they are damaging somebody’s career by not doing so, which is complete BS.
My hope is that they are doing it to prevent further degradation of safety.

I didn't know it was "overruns" plural, or about the weight and balance issue. I guess that's why we are back to manual counts. 20K? I wonder how that happened. MSY was heart breaking. The way things are run on the ramp by these different companies is seemingly "out of sight, out of mind" for management and that incident was actually not a surprise when I read about it in the news. I imagine they wanted to promote the DEN base chief to CPO and the FAA said no? There was a rumor that SC was going to become a new member of upper management and I was concerned she would be installed in his place. That would drive attrition to new heights.

The striped tie looks so much nicer than the cheap @ss standard black one.

I took a look through the CBA and Emp Handbook but couldn’t find it, mind sharing where it is mentioned? I don’t wanna be rocking that sweet tie as a probie without evidence lol.
