I understand the contract. Are you saying pilots who are upgrading and going through training outside their domicile are not having their hotel expense covered by the company? I’m not talking about, for example, a scenario where a pilot who is LAS based, chooses to commute to LAS and subsequently gets assigned SIM training after his DEN ground school is over. That’s on the pilot and no airline would cover such as expense.

Am I sure? Sure of what? That I work under F9 CBA and not your regional CBA? Yes, I’m quite sure of that.

Y’all are splitting hairs over a contract that was agreed to under exceptional circumstances. Can it be fixed in the future? Sure. Is it a high priority the next time around? Maybe, maybe not. We still have some heavy, low hanging fruit which needs to be addressed first. A few hotels for a fraction of the pilot group might not be one of them.

You said it was on the pilot and “no airline would cover that”. I was merely pointing out that’s not true. Other airlines have, in fact, covered recurrent training hotels regardless of base.

Next round of negotiations y’all need to think about total compensation/QOL. Think small, get small. If a few nights at a hotel are important for a very small % of pilots who upgrade once in their career at F9 the company will laugh their asses off if ALPA gave up negotiating leverage for such a thing. Why do you think regionals pay for that stuff? Think about it.
Think small, get small.

Even if this is not fixed with a settlement agreement the company has way more issues with training and hotels than we do. Issues that are valued in the millions. Did you know they have to dh all las and Phx pilots to den, pay the dh, per diem, and provide hotels when’s there’s sims in las and Phx? Also, they have to send den instructors to domiciles where thier based, pay per diem the entire time, pay thier hotels and get rental cars? These are just two examples off the top of my head.

Can anyone that has joined F9 recently and taken the bonus confirm if they pull your credit ? I didn't see anything in the offer letter or promissory note mentioning it, but rumors on this thread would claim otherwise. I'm not planning on spending the money, I will just be keeping it in a savings account for 3 years, but I am planning on buying a house in the next few months and this would kill my almost perfect credit score and likely affect my mortgage rate...
