Agreed. Warming up the popcorn for another year of big changes.

This sums up the problem with F9.
Professional pilots lining up help BL hit his next bonus while being told industry standard is unaffordable.

Ok...smh

This is the MOST RIDICULOUS of mentalities to have. Seriously.

If you think that becoming a check airman is HELPING OUT THE COMPANY, then how is that ANY DIFFERENT than you (or me or anyone else) WORKING for them? Or is it that LCAs help too much and being a line pilot is an "acceptable" amount of help? Does BL only hit his bonus if the LCAs do their job?

I am NOT an LCA. I don't want to be an LCA. TBH, I have thought about it but the amount of work just isn't compensated enough for me. But that doesn't change the fact that LCAs DO have a place in the company just like the whole training dept., the standards dept., the scheduling dept, and so on. You nor I would have a job if it weren't for an LCA doing their job.

So stop. Just stop w/ the internal pilot bashing over necessary positions.

This is probably the most on target thing I have read here in a while. I am befuddled by the number of pilots here that seem to hate this place (along with anyone that chooses to do what’s best for their own personal situation), but yet refuse to leave. Worst part of this job is flying with people who forget they work for an airline, and have a choice of which airline they choose to work for.

Oh well, back to the ranting this page is good for…

Well they’ll complain about LCA. But at the same time they’ll bend over backwards to pickup straight pay open time (redeyes, weekends. Whatever) to get themselves over 82hrs. Then they complain there’s no premium.

Yeah because you sold your soul scraping up every minute after 82 hours you could get. All the way to your 117 limit.

But then they’ll complain about CKA helping the company. It’s like you said, it’s just what’s good for their personal situation. It’s not wrong.

Well...

Obviously everyone is free to leave their job but of course, that's cost prohibitive at some point in this industry no matter who you work for. So, despite being a possibility, it's not really an option for many.

However, we all DO have to work somewhere. I'm not independently wealthy (along w/ 98% of the rest of the world) so someone else is signing my paycheck and giving it to me for services rendered. EVERY company has to operate - hopefully at a profit. Being a CP or LCA or sim instructor or whatever all are necessary. W/o each, there is no airline. So bashing people who have a calling to do something isn't "feeding corporate greed" any more than any of the other positions. Our LCAs, for the most part, do a good job and are helpful/knowledgable. They are the least of the problem as it wasn't only the LCAs who voted in the ragedy contract we work under.

We need unity. We need solidarity. We need agreement and cooperation and the best way to do that is work together to form a more common viewpoint. We need to focus on IMPROVING this company. That starts w/ a better and more encompassing contract that maximizes the areas of WIN-WIN for both us and the company. The only pilots we need to address - whether LCA or not - are those assisting the company to the DETRIMENT of the pilot body.

And there are a few of those...

our LCA's are awesome. Happy to see a "real Frontier pilot" as an LCA (and as a Sim Instructor) instead of using contract instructors.
