AA and DAL seem to be making careful moves while UAL is expanding like crazy. It's been a while since I looked ,but a few years ago UAL had the most airplanes while being 4th in number of passengers carried behind WN. The level service at UAL has gone up to an impressive point. which is great, but when I look at sky taxis, supersonic aircraft , the vacuuming up of new hires, the new bases , new airplanes I scratch my head where is all this money coming from? Is this like the old days where "they hire until they fire" or have they cracked the encryption to the money printing machine?

No. They have put up big bets and so far it’s working. I was wondering what happens if the economy tanks. Yet UA has 8B in cash to ride out a storm. For now they seem to be in a good spot.

You’re off a few billion. It’s $15.6B as of June

Interesting. Our cousins cut their 321XLR orders way back and deferred just as we did. Tons of planes stuck on the ground though like Spirit.

Stock ticking back up above $6. 9% again today and quite a gain in the last month. I hope you all went all in.

Fed Rate cut 3 hrs ago. Generally everything is up today. Most airlines. We just did a bit better than most other airlines.

Also looks like Barry and Steve sold some shares.

Is American buying us yet?

A bit? 50% in the past month. It’s a fun stock to be a part of with its wild swigs. Just think….if it goes up another 50% then it’s only 40% off of its high! Haha….sigh.

oh boy. I bought shares years ago shortly after its IPO. To “get some skin in the game”.

Yeah it’s still down like 65% for me……
Never take investment advice from an airline pilot lol

It's easy -- buy low, sell high.
