When you looked at these changes, does that account for redeye trips that are 2 calendar days but only one fdp? I think those are still tallied as 2 day trips when, I think they would be considered turns. I appreciate you pulling all that info together

Thanks for the question. To clarify, no I did not evaluate whether trips were fake two-day pairings, etc. I only compared percentage changes and block hours based on the previous month.

62 fake two days where you get in after midnight and only 18 real two days in PHL. I honestly should change my bid for two day trips since I bid for two days but this company requires you to bid for those specific two days since the rest are fake two days. So irritating.

An easier way to do that is to bid for "layover of duration greater than (some number)"

You can also avoid 2 days with end times 0000-0400 and just filter all of them out.

Happy to see that the analyzer tool is working properly. I should easily be able to know what I’m getting in March.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. I would bid for these specifically as usually people don’t know how to bid and I could get higher credit with these than other single day trips as a low seniority line holder. 3 leg 5.2 credit 1 day vs 2 leg 7.2 “2 day” that gets back at 0030. Easy choice.

What is the proper way to bid for these? I usually use pairing length =, and then average daily credit but obviously that doesnt work for those because its a 2 day worth 5-8 hours.

Its a secret

You can do what you just mentioned but change the average daily credit to just pairing credit.

Either generic

“Award pairings if pairing credit <10 If pairing length = 2 days”

or for more specific credit range adjust the range as necessary

”Award pairings if pairing credit between 06:00 and 9:59 If pairing length = 2 Days”

Word of caution. If there are redeye turns you might not like what you get without an avoid redeyes line first. Or you can use koolaids method listed above and avoid trips that end past 02:00 or whatever you need.

That’s actually fairly well done. The Netflix documentary is really good by the way.
