I love it when companies just downright want to tell their employees to F off and basically screw them over at every turn...

Some companies are fun to work for and the company treats them well (in all sectors of business, like tech, business, etc), then there is everyone else, and EVERY airline is part of the "everyone else". No one wants their hilariously most important and most valuable labor force to be well off, they would rather screw them any chance they can get. Even the legacies.

God forbid a company actually care about their employees to the point where they could come prepared when a contract opens with their ****** together so they can get their employees what they need after seeing inflation skyrocket and the value of their employees skyrocket.

But then again, at least we have unions, because without them... oh man. Airlines with no union are a joke.

No newsletter because there’s no one left to write it. They are all in BI at United!

There it is! They say our "Peers are Sun Country, Allegiant, and Spirit"! Not ANY of the other Airbus A321 operators in the United States.

I’ve been here long enough that this news update doesn’t surprise me one bit. The last contract was a fight. Tighten your shoulder straps fellow airmen, this is going to be a very long and bumpy ride!!!!

I can only hope the Union “countered the proposed peer equivalent with a unanimous GFY.”

No doubt in my mind... Im sure they would say the same thing even if we were profiting 10%+ every quarter. Reality is, pilots are upset with management's treatment of them. Management's fault we are in our current financial position. There is no reason to go above and beyond for such a poor reward or treatment from the uppers in the emerald palace.

Here we are, being compared to Allegiant, Sun Country, and Spirit (who increased pay a little until their JCBA with Jetblue (who is already up near the legacies)).

We fly A320s and A321s packed with 186-240 people and do more work than any legacy carrier. No reason we shouldn't be compensated as much.

I expect this to be at least 2 years. I am sure a lot will happen within that time frame.

One can hope.... but I don't have much faith in this NC from what I have seen/heard. I hope we get fresh blood throughout this whole union from LECs and up.
