As professional pilots, I don't think safety should ever be put into question.
now the attitude, character and integrity of management/ownership is another thing altogether!

The thing is people don’t care about the integrity of management or if we are getting paid fairly or if we have good reserve rules. They want to get from here to there alive and for less money than a legacy. If you squeeze in the areas that matter to the consumer that will have ramifications.

A social media campaign aimed at how management isn’t treating us poor pilots fairly when a first year FO gets way more than what most of our passengers make, isn’t going to be effective.

Yeah, but you cannot compromise safety as that is going directly against our job description and certificate privileges.

No one cares that Frontier pilots ONLY make 100-300k when other pilots make 200-500k. ESPECIALLY when most of our pax are lower to middle class.

The original question was can social media be used to move the negotiation process along. I think yes it can and it would be the most effective if told from a passenger perspective. Not a pilot perspective complaining about industry standards contacts.

Only on here when I am in the bar with a drink (more than 12 hours from show). Just a joke, and more about me not having a clue about how our system works.

Family member is has 25 years of 121 experience, female+minority from before DEI. She has a lot of friends, similar background. They have all been advised by the union to make all their social media private. Not because of the public backlash but because of all the threats directly made at them. We do not need that kind of BS. There is plenty of pilots that didn't belong in the cockpit before DEI. If you have a problem with diversity on the flightdeck, you do not belong on the flight deck. Full stop.

If you have a problem with DEI expedited hiring, it is because there was no DEI hiring for decades, and we can have a civil discussion if positive discrimination is negative. What you posted is not that. Be better.

I don’t know what you’re going on about dude. I’m just repeating what’s going on in the world I live in, and what people are saying/thinking.
You take that knowledge and do what you want with it.
