Does Frontier really have that many retirements coming in the next couple years?

No. you can count on 2 hands each year. I don’t think it changes much at legacies either. They won’t be able to international until icao comes up to 67 and there’s still a ton of hiring to be done. I think it’s dumb and shouldn’t happen, but I also don’t think it will affect things very much either.

No he is more referring to legacies slowing hiring way down as a result of the age increase. This would trickle down to the rest of us that have attrition problems. (Everybody else)

I can’t say whether or not it will have the intended affect and can see both sides of the argument.

Can you now medical out since you can’t remember the 26 items in our stabilized approach memory item? Will I get section 19d for taxing at 4 knots cause that’s how I drive my car ?
26 item stabilized approach memory item? What on earth is that? Care to explain for those of us not at F9?

Is it simpler at other companies? My regional had an equally-asinine set of memory items for stabilized criteria. For approaches: Below 1000 AGL, below 500, and then again for visual approaches. I don’t remember it being there when I was new, but a couple years in it showed up and was part of CQ every year.

so when I came here, I thought the unnecessarily wordy memory items were just the way of the road air, bubs. Then add in some of the other memory items. That TA/RA is stupid. I’m just glad we don’t have that many items overall.

So 65 exact to 67 exact. If it passes and is signed, not everyone will stay the two extra years. Crystal ball of many of us on here predict about half. That means an average of 66. So, one more year, on average.

One year’s worth of full hiring will get the industry about caught up with staffing needs. Then be in normal hiring mode, considering massive retirements.

Unless there is a massive Black Swan event (like 9/11 or WWIII), this is the way I see it.

Won't the vast majority just use it to claim LTD benefits? I can't imagine the majority is in it to keep flying the line.

I think it’s 10 items. I was being a wise guy. But they seem to add one extra one a year.
