contrary to whag you think, there’s no so much vitriol and hatred towards F9 pilots that you need to hang your head low and cower in the corner in front of large groups of people.

Glad to hear that we treat you well... I always say the same about F9 pilots and crews too. Never felt anything but welcomed, jumpseat or cabin...Originally Posted by InformationMike

You tell most people you’re a pilot for a no legacy they just think it’s cool, and then move on with their lives.
I don't tell people I work for Frontier. I love the profession but I'm FULLY aware that my company is sh!tty and I don't want to hear about how the company cancelled a flight and there was no phone # to call for a refund, how the gate agent acted "ghetto" or how it took 45 minutes to get their luggage. Maybe it's just that I have too many family/friends that are too cheap to fly better but it is what it is. Originally Posted by LinaPeru

I am VERY proud to be a pilot - often I'm amazed at the fact that I actually get to do this for a living. And, I'm convinced there are many others that love the job but not the company. There are only so many "employee friendly" companies to go around.
If another F9 pilot told me they liked the company, I would wonder about them....

I love telling people I work at F9, they either love it or hate it... Same way they love or hate any airline or company that does well or screws them over.Originally Posted by dracir1

Usually they ask some questions and we move on to other topics, it gets old talking about my job. I do enjoy my company to an extent, but it isn't perfect. Same way everyone ****s about their company's good and bad. No company likes employees, they cost money and if they could be replaced, they would, look at all these huge tech companies that were "the best to work for" until about a year ago. It sucks, but it is what it is. I think the biggest issue in our industry is the fact we basically are tied to a company until retirement or BK. It is weird having people asking "Can't you just become a Captain at Delta or United?" "well yeah... but I start at the bottom again below everyone and it will take years to get there again"

Yeah.... I was at NK for over a decade, my partner is at a higher ranked airline. We have been asked dozens of times were we worked, while together. Always "awesome" to them, followed by "oooh...ok" to me. With a free side eye glance.Originally Posted by LinaPeru

Well I’m not particularly surprised. We all understand how sensitive “your types are”. You probably over analyze every human emotion and interaction searching for micro-transgressions. Originally Posted by symbian simian

Your subservient relationship with your woman requires her to be at a “higher ranked airline”. She flies Captain, and you’re just the emotional support baggage left at the gate. But hey, at least you get to feel useful… like a jumpseater offering weather updates no one asked for.
Now go cry about your oppressed career in the “higher ranked” forum.

Question: what do you ENJOY about your company - specifically? The schedule? The pay? Turns? SJU overnight hotel? Originally Posted by spooldup

What is it at F9 that you can't get at some other airline (that pays more, has greater 401k company input, better LTD, cheaper healthcare, better reserve rules and better travel benefits for you/family) right now?
