In the USA Today's "Today In The Sky" section, this message was posted by a self-proclaimed 14-year Frontier pilot:
Republic wins bid for Frontier, beats Southwest - USATODAY.com
Any thoughts ...

Ed,
Republic and Frontier's Union have already agreed to a T/A (tentative agreement) . A fence is in place to protect the F9 Flying based on pilot career expectations of the company each pilot was hired into..... Obviously if you wee hired by Republic to fly an RJ your career expectations were different than those hired by Frontier and pay rates are protected for the next 5 years.
Seniority on equipment is protected until the last F9 pilot upgrades, Quality of Life issues... good. Schedules - Great, Benefits acceptable.... but most important...the FUTURE holds GROWTH.... Airbus is part of that and this is THE best part of the deal....
Here's the link to the actual article and other comments. (His status with F9 was made in the message immediately preceding this on the blog.)Ed,

Because with a staple they would end up junior to every F9 pilot. Fences are quite common when two pilot groups merge. I think it's more then fair. Before RAH pilots had ZERO opportunity or expectation to fly an Airbus.

Guess I should have been more specific about my question and should have asked bluntly, is this true? Is there a T/A in hand? Based on the time the message was posted it seems the Republic T/A must have already been in writing before FAPA and SWAPA ever started talking.

What happened to the whole thing about "any wholly owned subsidiary" is part if republic blah blah blah everybody was bragging about. Sounds like RAH guys got sold out. Good for F9 pilots atleast for now...

Ummm, some news for you son, F9 is part of Republic. A fence doesn't change a thing kiddo. This form of jealousy is an ugly sight.

So just to be clear, if Republic had purchased SkyBus out of bankruptcy auction, their pilots should have had fenced seniority (AirBus Staple)?
