Those are really only the 3 cities where we currently sustain enough flying for a base. I'd lean more toward east coast because 1, it is where the company says it will be and 2, less FDP issues occur east-to-west.

Thats a relief!
Hello Sled. If you don't mind me asking, did you receive the email beginning with "Today, we closed our 2014 First Officer requisition..." after the TBNT email? If not, when did you get that?

The reason I'm asking is because I applied for Frontier on Sunday, went to the job fair on Wednesday, and was told at the job fair that I would be called for an interview, but was not given a date. You can imagine I was quite bummed when I received that Thanks But No Thanks email yesterday afternoon.

Yeah I received the automated TBNT, then an hour and a half later I got the "Today, we closed...." email. Sounds like if you had an application in last year, those were purged yesterday.

Thanks. I never applied last year, but perhaps everybody in the system just received the TBNT email. Maybe if you applied last year, then you also get that secondary email explaining the closing.

I guess I feel a little better now.

I had a tentative interview scheduled in June and was receiving weekly emails asking me to confirm a specific date. I then emailed F9 with my TBNT and explained that I'd already accepted a position with another carrier. A week later I got their TBNT. Strange at best.

My hire date was July '14... I just got a thanks but no thanks email... I'd say you're good... Also, they're supposed to be going back to silver bullets and internal recs very soon so the job fairs won't be as critical...

Dear Applicant:

You are receiving this message because in 2014 you applied for a Pilot position at Frontier. To aid us in our hiring practices, we have since opened a new requisition (#15-0006) and, as a “housekeeping” measure closed the older requisition (#14-0181). As a result of this, many of you received an auto-generated email yesterday informing you that we have selected other candidates. Please be advised that this email was only a standard template and not indicative of our current hiring status.

We are proud of the significant growth that Frontier is currently enjoying and are always looking for great pilots to join our team. If you remain interested in a position with Frontier, I encourage you to apply to our current ‘Frontier Airlines Pilot’ requisition (#15-0006) online at www.flyfrontier.com/careers. i was sitting in new hire ground school a couple days ago doing some computer based training. my phone made a little buzz to let me know i had an email. low and behold, i got the rejection letter too. i walked over to the hr department and asked what was up. chris said he sent them out to everyone apparently as some automatic way to purge the system of old applicants.

to me, it doesn't seem like a very professional way of doing business. i would have handled it differently if i were in that position. i guess the answer is to simply reapply. it is a shame they aren't handing out interviews at job fairs anymore. this is how i was hired. the lady that was in charge of hiring was named kim fuller. she was an absolute sweetheart of a person but she left the company a month or two ago. apparently the new guy just has a different way of doing things?

I don't think this is unique to Frontier. I think almost every airline has sent out mass TBNT emails either as a mistake or as a way to purge old apps.
