I think you are right, I've heard the same. It does seem kind of weird though. A lot of people who are obviously still likely to get the job probably think they truly got turned down.

For some reason, i'm having a had time opening the "careers" portion of the website...anyone know if the 500 pic requirement is still in effect? Thanks for the info! H32

I just reapplied, it saved all of my info. It did ask if you had 500 PIC but it did not say TPIC. It also asked if you had 500 turbine time.

as far as i know, you won't get a call unless you meet this minimum. however, your flight instructor time and anything else you can call "pic" counts towards this total. in my new hire class, more than half of the guys have never been a captain at a regional or otherwise. one guy was my first officer a couple years ago.

Thanks for the responses! Unfortunately, I went from 250 comm/multi to right seat turbo prop so even though I more than double all of the other mins, I only have 220pic...thought maybe they'd drop that min at some point. Oh well, I'll keep flying the paint off the RJ...
