Are we? I have watched the attrition above me for 1 year (since I've been hired) and it's been 2.8/month. And this includes retirements. Of course factoring in the ones Jr to me that have left would bump up this stat, but I can't imagine much. Anyone know the real attrition rate?

I don't know exactly where everyone is going. I met a few leaving for UAL. I have heard a lot were starting to go to AMR, but I also hear that will slow to a stop for a while due to the new contract being ratified. These are all rumors... and all pilots like rumors....

If that wasn't clear, I was talking about RAH to F9. kspilot, I'm not claiming to have all the facts and I'm trying to keep it civil. I'm in the know enough to know that the general perception amongst RAH pilots is don't waste your time applying to F9 because you'll get nowhere - you're not hireable. If true that would be a heck of a grudge to hold. I'd like to be proven wrong.

FWIW, did some further research... Found out that the formal reason for not hiring RAH guys is because of ongoing litigation, and that practice will continue until it's resolved (from the Chief Pilot) or at least that's the excuse they're using. They'll find a new one once that's over... Two CommutAir guys that apparently interviewed recently and will be in an F9 class soon were asked three or four times during their interviews if they've ever worked for any RAH certificate.... Guess I'll be holding out for JetBlue

From what I hear yes, at least ones that live in base, especially with a 170/190 type. I've heard of just as many RAH FOs going there as CAs. Mostly guys that live in NY... But enough about Blue, back to Frontier.

Just curious how long before you applied until you got the call? How many days did they give you then from the phone call to the interview?

hmmm. hard to say....i had my app in for several months and heard nothing. i updated it in the middle of january and did a job fair. they picked me out at the fair and offered the interview on the spot. I think i interviewed about 3 weeks after the fair. the next one that i know of they will attend is women in aviation in dallas in a couple weeks. if you really want a job at f9, i suggest going to the job fair on the morning of the first day. get in line early. it seems to me that they go to the fair attempting to fill "x" number of interview spots. it also seems that once they get those spots filled, they tell the candidates afterwards that they will call you. it also seems like they are hiring about half the candidates that interview.
oddly, one or two guys i met while in denver told me that they were hired without ever even filling out the on line application? i don't know if i would risk that one, but i heard it floating around.
i also heard several f9 people say that they really like recruiting at the job fairs. apparently meeting people face to face has a much better hire ratio than just calling random apps on file.
