For the ORD pilots, where do they let you part at the airport? I'm only familiar with the United and AA lots there so I'm curious? Also, does Frontier have a provision say if you live in ORD and get based in DEN that they'll pay for your parking in ORD as long as you don't get a pass in DEN? Thanks!

Someone from that base will have to comment to be specific but they park in a lot on the east side airport by the "fashion outlets" and I hear the shuttle runs every 10 minutes; then it is a short walk through KCM and to our gates on the L concourse. The parking stipend for Denver is $36, I believe the Chicago guys get the same amount and that completely covers parking costs.

I was in the same boat as you for a few months: lived in ORD but was based in DEN. Unfortunately, the company only provides you the $36 stipend for parking, and you're on your own to find somewhere to park. I used a combination of the off-airport private parking lots (Pre-Flight Parking was my favorite) and getting rides from friends and family, as I don't live near any public transportation.

The parking lot is the AMC lot at Montrose and Mannheim on the east side of the airport. There is a shuttle that runs every 10-15 minutes and drops off and picks up at the departure level of every terminal 24 hours a day. Once you're based in ORD, the CPO can issue you an AMC parking pass, but it seems that these passes are issued directly to the company and there is no way to get one just for yourself - even if you pay for it on your own (the lot isn't associated with the ORD badging office and I couldn't find an "office" or point of contact for it).

Once you get awarded ORD, go up to the CPO and ask if you can have the badge then. It worked for me and I got about a month of parking in the AMC lot before I was officially based there.

I hope that helps, and feel free to PM with any questions.

Hey 121dj - do you know if they were offering interview dates on the spot at the fair, or does that come later with a phone call, or some of both? Good luck to you!

At the job fair I wasn't given an interview date, but was told I was going to get an interview.

What is the latest on new hire class schedules? I know that one started in Apr with about 23, and there is one scheduled in May. Does anyone know how many more classes are going to be scheduled and possible number in them??

That is great, Sir! Very happy for you. My conversation with the CP was very relaxed, informational company-wise at best. He didn't offer an interview and no represented company at this fair had the manpower to conduct any on-site interviews.

Panoose, please post when you hear back about that!

[edit] Endeavor had maybe 5 uniformed pilots in attendance at their recruiting booth, so may have been able to conduct interviews. Who knows.

The latest I heard - and this changes weekly it seems - is approximately 175 (200 - 24 currently in class) for the remainder of the year. It breaks down to about 20-24 per class per month for the rest of the year.

Again, nothing official or announced, but this seems to be how the math breaks down based on the latest bits I've heard. Sulk, maybe you have better info?

No, I've got nothing, the only issue I see, brought up recently by Zoo, was the necessity to stagger in some upgrade classes as well. I don't think we've ever run upgrade classes concurrent with new-hire classes. Have we?
