Make sure if you get fired on the spot by chief pilot, to thank him for unemployment benefits and actually apply for them. Even if it's just for a couple of days. That will teach him, since it cost the company money to pay for unemployment benefits and the premiums go up the more people file for them.

Sorry if this is a broken record...but think twice before quitting your current job and going to Frontier. It will not take long if you're hired to see the hatred for the employees (and customers) this company exhibits minute to minute. People are leaving before they even complete training.
I am lucky enough to be waiting for my legacy class now and looking to leave Frontier. I have never been fired from a job but counting on it when I give my notice from the "chief pilot" at Frontier. At my new company interview the pilot on the panel pulled me aside and asked me "how was the prison term at Frontier". Very sad...great crews there...pathetic management.
Pay rates, contract abuse, benefits, payroll that's never right, getting displaced/reassigned with NO pay, horrible trips with horrible hotels...this list is long. You have a choice between a good place and Frontier....wait and take the good place and save the brain damage.
Sorry...

Yep you are correct Aero. I am a miserable person that hates everything. Just like most of the pilots, employees and passengers at Frontier.
I am glad there are still some delusional koolaid drinkers still there like you!! Good luck with that moving forward. Remember to still never check you pay stub...they love people like you. Keep your head in the clouds, enjoy the treatment! You will "grow" to appreciate how valued you are there.
Not that you deserve a response, but I am one of the most positive company committed employees. It takes a lot to turn me. I would even call myself a "koolaid drinker". Maybe you should stop attacking me and look at the reality of where you are. It's a hard choice to make the change to leave. I have friends that have been at Frontier for years and told me what is WAS. All I am saying for those making the change to come to Frontier in with their eyes open.

I made the mistake of sitting in the boarding area whilst waiting for my very late airplane to hit the gate. A very upset woman zero'd in on me, grabbed her stuff and moved to the chair right beside me.
"You work for Frontier?" She asked.
She unleashed a litany of complaints, including how her vacation was ruined, the rudeness and apathy from gate agents in more than one airport, Frontier's unwillingness to make things right, and on and on. Not to mention the 4ish hour delay we were now on, as she tried to get home.
I was awash with competing feelings. Embarrassment, irritation, defensiveness, more disillusionment, empathy, concern for MY future, confusion, regret for sitting in the boarding area, and on and on. Make a long story short, I found myself ill equipped to answer her. Somehow to quip "what did you pay for your ticket?" just seemed wrong on every level.
The thrust of her anger came form Frontier's inability to rebook on other airlines, and the complete lack of concern about her situation from station personnel.
Ultimately I explained to her Frontier fired the station personnel and they were rehired to do 1/3 more work for 1/3 less compensation with the contractor that replaced them. They ain't happy!
Next I explained she chose to take the city buss across the metro-plex as opposed to the Taxicab or Limousine service. ...But then again even a city bus more of less guarantees you arrive when you imagine you will.
She did have nice words for the flight attendants and pilots.
Don't know where I'm going with this, but perhaps dumping the station people was a bit premature. I understand it was a business decision they feel had to be made, but maybe waiting a year or two until other kinks were worked out might have avoided this compounding effect.

Monk, I probably went a little overboard criticizing you and your attitude towards frontier. I'm sorry. I just hate inflammatory language like describing working at frontier as "brain damage." The point I was trying to convey is that if you hate working for frontier so much, I fear you will not be happy anywhere else. All airlines are the same for the most part. Yes, frontier pay sucks compared to the big guys. If you are leaving for United pay, I get that, and totally respect that. But the day to day quality of life at all airlines is pretty similar. If you hate frontier I think you'll strongly dislike wherever you end up. You'll just make more money. I hope you are satisfied with wherever you are going, I really do, and of course, I hope you are senior to me!

heading the FAPA.aero job fair in LAS this wed. Looking forward to talking with the F9 folks.. anyone else going? I wasn't sure if I was that enthused about frontier, but with the uncertainty of working at a regional these days, it looks to be a good step in the right direction. The more I talk with some crews and new hires it seems that frontier is feeling the same pains as XJT has been for the past 5 years. I have a feeling those will go away and the plan Indigo has comes to fruition. Growth is a good thing... shrinkage at XJT is not so good. I would love to come work with you all for awhile.. and maybe even call Frontier home if given the opportunity.

Good luck at the career fair, just be yourself. Frontier is far better than being at any regiona IMHO. You will enjoy it here and if the growth happens as being told by Indigo, it will be a great place to be and the right time to be coming on board.

Commuting home on AA as an Envoy FO, while I was waiting I basically had this same conversation with a family who's whole trip was on AA mainline. I don't how bad it is at F9 right now, just saying you will find customers like that at every airline. Every time Ive commuted on F9 (thank you), it has gone smooth. I'm sure Indigio will right the problems. They want to make money not lose on their investment.
