No Frontier for me, I got the TBNT email today. Not sure what they're looking for, but I have a feeling they thought I was going to bolt if I got an offer from a Legacy. They asked me if I had apps out to other airlines, and I was honest and admitted I do, to pretty much everybody. After that, I was asked 4-5 different times why I would stay at F9 if United or Delta called. I guess being a local that spends every free minute in the Colorado mountains wasn't convincing enough...

One thing that seems to be common to everybody I've talked to - after the CP interview (the 2nd stage), if they walk you out and say "Thanks, we'll call you in two weeks!", they are politely telling you "No Thanks!".

I always wanted to work here, and thought I'd be a good fit so too bad. Oh well. Still really liked everybody I met, and wish you guys success!

I applied a while back and never got a response one way or the other. Not a TNBT, nothing, nada. But if you really want to work there, just re-apply in 12 months. I have ben told from some recruiters it shows persistence, fwiw……and if its meant to be, it will be.

It seems like they might be hiring people who are "unhirable" at the majors - we have some new hires with no PIC turbine/airline experience. That's just a theory based on a very limited statistical sample (2 people).

Sorry to hear that things didn't work out, WRX.

I've been at the G.O. all week for training and saw all 3 days' worth of interviewees hanging around the lunch room when we were taking breaks from class. I have to say that all you folks looked very professional. When I hear about our current interview class and see so many sharp-looking folks interviewing day after day, I have to admit that I don't think I would be hired under today's standards!

I talked to a few of the F9 pilots conducting the interviews and they also mentioned that they were also impressed with the people showing up to the interview.

FWIW

Oh, man...sorry to hear you didn't get the job you wanted. Did you read my posts (#716 & 720 specifically) in this thread about my experience at Frontier before going to the interview? Your experience is essentially what I reported back on 30 May. The only exception is now I guess they are telling you no via an e-mail 2 weeks later vs the day of the interview (which is what they did at mine).

Yeah, in general I would concur with your statement based on my experience at the Frontier interview. The 6 dudes that got hired that day were, in general, not currently competitive at a legacy carrier with one exception. Now, don't get me wrong, I think all the guys offered the job that day were quality, good dudes, they just didn't have the turbine PIC time. The one exception had 10k+ total and 7.5k+ turbine PIC, but he really, really wanted to live in Denver and did not want to wait for UAL to get him there years from now.

I guess the F9 interview team flagged my application as possibly competitive with the legacy carriers and they honed in on that with me. (see my previous posts earlier in this thread about this topic).
