I don't think so. I've always fulfilled my employers requests, as my track record proves. More importantly, I grew up in the Denver area, and spent close to 10 years trying to get back here. I've been back in DEN for two years now with my current gig, and am loving it. I have no desire to spend another 10 years commuting to reserve on the east coast or IAH. I also think Frontier is going to continuing growing and become a fantastic career for the folks getting on today.

Whether this is the answer they're looking for, I don't know.

It's possible that you could have found yourself commuting to Trenton if the rumors hold true. Doing east coast turns and living in an expensive crashpad every night while trying to figure out how to get back and forth to Denver would make you leave after a year or less! Seems like you have a good attitude about it and hopefully will get another chance if you want it.

That's a very good point, and thanks!

I don't think TTN will be an issue worthy of much concern. Operationally the management team understands the struggles that would be realized by crews trying to make to their base. Now Dulles/Cleveland is a much different story. They are commutable cities and that's where a majority of the new growth appears to be.

I'm not looking for any particular answer. I simply asked that if you were offered a job with a legacy after only a few months with F9 would you leave? I always thought Frontier would be a really nice airline to work for and the few times I flew them back in the late 2000s. I remember thinking (based on what I saw of the planes, people, and operation) that it would be a good place to work.

I don't remember, did you you do interview prep with either Lori Clark or Emerald Coast? If you truly believe that this is a career destination, then I'm assuming that is the answer that you should have given. I'd be curious how these two proven interview prep companies would advise how to address this question.

wrx, thank you for sharing your disappointment. Usually we only hear the whole story from those who get the job.

I feel badly for you, and I can sense the sincerity in your words. It is quite possible they got this one wrong. I'm a huge fan of the F9 process, but no hiring process is a perfect science, obviously. It's very unfortunate however that you may have become a statistic of such imperfection.

Failing an interview is a bitter pill - I know. But it is also one of those 'we only really ever truly learn something the hard way' moments. If you could re-do it, is there anything you would do differently?

I say none of this looking down my nose. I messed up a number of times during the interview, and honestly just thank God they decided to give me a shot.

Are you yet young? It is not unusual for people to try a couple times to get on with the outfit of their dreams. I would say try again if the opportunity presents itself. Otherwise wrx, you're a very sharp individual with a great resume, you'll do well anywhere you go.

What really seems to make the difference for getting an interview is internal recommendation. If you know anyone else at F9 (preferably not on probation), have them contact JP or SM. Good luck!

That's my issue is I have no other people there but newbie's. I guess just patience and something will happen. Good Luck to everyone. Guess I should've taking the interview three years ago when RAH offered us interviews. Thanks for the insight.
