Can someone explain to me what’s going on? I read many airline’s forums and this company is the only one where pilots are generally unkind/condescending and unhelpful. Why? I came here not trolling but asking a serious question. Maybe you guys don’t love your airline, but some of us are really suffering at awful regionals and we would consider this place an improvement. So pardon me for wanting to advance my career and increase my QOL, but is there some place I can go to actually get answers? APC is supposed to be a place to go to get the real scoop

We are at the absolute most critical moment of our contract negotiation process. We have just been presented with a sub par agreement in principle. If we vote it down, our only real leverage is the fact that the company is having a hard time filling classes.
When guys are coming on here asking about getting a job, we all cringe and hope that guys do not apply until after we settle the contract. Basically, we don't want you here right now. After the contract is settled, we will welcome all graciously to our company. Please do not apply or accept a class right now. Thank you This guy doesn't really deserve though, there is plenty of information in this and other threads. If he can't figure it out on his own, there isn't much else we can do. No pardon until things are settled, and if reading these forums hasn't made it clear, this place is not significantly better than an "awful" regional. |

We are negotiating with one of the most ruthless cutthroat management groups in history. We are fighting for our families and our careers, as well as those to follow. We are doing our part, you do yours. See you all on property AFTER we vote in a contract. |

I am trying to have a back up plan for if/when my regional goes under next year. So, again, if anyone knows how junior MCO is, I would love to know. Or if anyone could pm me the pilot recruiting email, I’d love to see how long a CJO is good for.
I’m not trying to undercut you guys or your contract, just trying to get info and meeting amount of animosity. |

The most junior bidder on the MCO list for Dec is a July '18 hire. The latest vacancies show reducing MCO to staff PHL.

Spirit will continue to build MCO. F9 will shrink MCO to build PHL. When the merger occurs Spirit/Frontier will instantly have two fully staffed bases. Sucks for current Frontier MCO based pilots. |

We have shrunk AUS flying, where NK just announced they are establishing new routes. Our current route structures, when compared side by side, possess very little overlap. Now that we might end up with a carbon copy of their CBA, it's quite clear what is coming. We have never, and will never, compete for the same customers. The only way for this ULCC model to grow and be a long term standalone, both companies will have to merge. That is the only way to control capacity and thus profitability. If not, and we add a ton of capacity, I fear the market will become saturated. |
