DEC: C5 vs PDT vs G7
Primary goal is to fly my tail off & build TPIC. I’ll be commuting regardless of base; BTDT so I know what to expect. Don’t mind being stuck on reserve so long as I’m likely to get used with some frequency. I would anticipate being picked up by a major or LLC within 5yrs, so flows / promised interviews are purely a backup plan.
GoJet DEC
PIC accumulation: Rapid
Flow: Spirit/Frontier - Slow
Sign-on Bonus: $50k
CA Reserve Length: ?
Commuter Clause: 4 hotels
Crediting for prior 121 puts pay 30-50% higher
CommutAir DEC
PIC accumulation: Rapid
Interview: United - eligible after 1000 PIC / 12mo
Sign-on Bonus: $45k
CA Reserve Length: 4mo - Used nearly daily (short on CAs)
Commuter Clause: 4 hotels
Piedmont DEC
PIC accumulation: Slow - training delays
Flow: AA - 5yrs
Sign-on Bonus: $45k
CA Reserve Length: ?
Commuter Clause: 2 hotels
Anything I’m missing that would work in favor of / detract from any specific offer?

The GoJet flow to Frontier prevents Frontier from accepting your application off the street. If Frontier is a potential landing spot, then GoJet is not for you unless you don't mind waiting twenty years to flow.
You almost certainly will not flow in five years at PDT. Check out their threads. It might not be as long as the worst estimates, but five years is super optimistic.

Thanks for the clarification re: PDT. I had read conflicting accounts on the flow, but wasn’t sure what would be accurate. Not something I’m counting on regardless of where I end up at this point, but good to have clearer information.

Has anyone taken G7 up on the Optional Leave after Indoc offer?
Any issues with getting that approved?
From the website:
“Earn up to 6 months early seniority (Come to one day of Indoc training, receive a seniority number, and then be placed on personal leave for a maximum of 180 days)”

Reserve is typically only 1-2 months. They hire DECs constantly...some in every class.

No idea on how long that will take you, as I'm not even remotely interested.

Thanks. TSA offered it to all new hires, wasn’t sure about G7.
