Default GoJet Reserve

Hey guys, how is Gojets reserve system? I heard Gojets have long call reserve and short call reserve. Can anyone share?

Please, please guys, I am not interested in your personal opinion about Gojets, I just would like to hear about the pilots commuting on reserve.

BTW I already know commuting sucks and commuting on reserve even more.

When your schedule is awarded it's all long call reserve and then the company picks 10 days (two five day blocks) to convert to short call reserve. You have no say in the days (pilots beg for specific days to deaf ears) that become short call. You also have no say in what short call period they give you. Seniority is not considered when assigning reserve periods or reserve call outs. It's common to start a stretch of short call reserve with an 0300 available time. On your last day you're automatically released if they haven't called you by 1700.

It’s not necessarily two five day periods, It’s just two blocks of long call will be converted. I have seen people bid where they only had two two day periods converted and I have seen where people have had two six day blocks converted. It’s all about how you bid it.

When I was there. I had no SC all LC. I am not sure why they never converted, but I wasn’t complaining.

How long is "long call" and "short call". Are we talking 2 hours for LC and airport ready for SC?

2 hour SC and 12 hour LC.

Reserve line start out all long call, except, the company can convert two groups of reserve days to short call per month. So they tend to build two blocks of six days and convert those.
