50 pages of ops limits and memory items? Yowza! It's been six years since I last flew the CR7 at EV, but I don't remember that many memory items!

The only thing I received was a class date. My interviewer informed me this morning that I will receive an ipad with SOP loaded once I start class. He also said that I may or may not receive a welcome letter before I start class.

Looking forward to getting back into the 121 world!

Most of it isn't memory items. It was the pilot from my interview that sent it to me. I think its mainly just some prep stuff to get the mothballs rolling. They might have just sent it to the guys with no 121 time so we're not too far behind? There's only 2 pages at the end which contain the immediate action checklist. You can find the immediate action stuff they want us to have down if you google search crj700 immediate action checklist.

Just remember that you aren't allowed to start the APU until it's time to shut down the second engine. Also, the APU is probably deferred anyway.

Is this really a thing?

Seems like it every time that I've ridden in the back.

I'm all about getting those brains cells moving! From what I remember this is a pretty easy jet to learn, and a fun bird to fly! I'm excited to get back in the saddle and grind out some 121 time.

Just an FYI - Several DEC's have failed their orals . . . some of these DPE's are getting far into the weeds on this plane. If you are a former 121 driver, dont expect it to me a cake walk. Heck, they really expect even the FO's to know a TON!! It's not just limitations / memory items / and point to a switch. One person was asked to draw out a PACK! One FO was asked how far the main landing light illuminates. Several DEC's in my glass have left before starting orals (had about 2months off).

That's really good to know... I can appreciate having good system knowledge but it sounds like somebody is a little over zealous.. I understand DPEs wanting to make sure DECs are fully spun up on the aircraft, esp if they haven't flown this aircraft before (or have taken a long break), I just hope it's the same level of knowledge they expect from upgrade candidates. I'd hate to be in a situation where I'm explaining a busted 121 oral to a future interviewer.
