You'd think sharing a base I'd have done it already...but not yet. I like TD though...just like I like SAAB, FreezingFlyBoy, and all those XJTer's that are a pain in my RAH ass. At least they care.

There were ones where he flew a plane in, once in an Xwing even i believe. It's hard not to idolize something like that.

So back to the issue, is this guy being treated badly in ground school? One out of ten pilots I fly with know about gojet. They all say, "oh, you mean that Mesa company?" So hardly anyone knows about gojet at SkyWest, but I have done my duty to inform everyone I fly with about them.
I do some photo flying with TWA, now American captain who has had gojet guys on the jumpseat. Most major airlines don't SEEM to care about gojet, does anyone else get the same impression? And yes, this guy does know about situation that happened at Trans States/gojet.

The mainline guys could care less about who's eating who at the regional level - and then they'll give you a lecture about who's stealing who's flying.
Here's another funny one - Ask an Eagle guy about "Alter-Eagle" jet and TSA... you didn't think they came up with "alter-eGoJet" on their own did you?

Its a good thing that most of you posting are pilots and not management. Because you don't apear to have much of a clue as to how this business really works. A whole lot of you are bent on ruining the carreer of anyone who has ever worked for a company like Gojet. When what you are really upset about is that a new company can be formed and move in and take over your flying that is up for bid to the lowest priced contractor.
Its supply and demand and the lowest bidder usually gets the contract anyways. Contracts to support a major have an ending date which enables renegotiation. Thats the role a commuter airline has in fulfilling the contract. They have to be flexible to adjust to those changes.
Its supply and demand and the lowest bidder usually gets the contract anyways. If a company like Gojet does business like Mesa then they will be on their way out just like Mesa.
Dont be so quick to be drinking too much of the coolaid that the unions are feeding you. In the end the only thing that matters is what you will be retiring with personally. The only thing that you're union is good for is making sure that the mannagement of your own company doesnt try and take too much advantage of you. So nobody should really care what goes on over at some other company.

Couldn't disagree more. You just went prattling on about how we can all be underbid at any moment and lose our flying. Yer dern right I care about who going to be underbidding me.

601 pilot you are right, no matter what they do they can't stop what management does. They will replace you in a heartbeat, saw what happened to the mechanics at NW, where are they now? Many people bash "Gojet" but really seems as if it's only at the regionals that people care because their pilots jumpseat on most major airlines all the time without any issues. BTW wasn't Continental in a similar shoes as "Gojet" some time ago, now everybody who has their 1000 hour pic want in.
