Probably not; but at the same time I doubt Doctor's are on their respective web forums complaining about this hospital taking that hospital's patients because this hospital or that hospital takes this or that insurance and provides a cheaper service.

I'm sure one of the reasons that G7 isn't knocking on the door asking for the MRJ flying is because our union negotiated that specific clause. It has nothing to do with the mentality that G7 wouldn't jump all over that flying if it could. And this isn't exactly a parallel of "all regionals try to outbid each other." This is an example of an alter ego group that belongs to the same company doing whatever it takes to get more flying at the expense of their "sister carrier." In my opinion, the ill will goes both ways between pilot groups. TSA pilots may be mad, but G7 pilots don't give a damn about how many guys at TSA are furloughed.

How little you know on this subject

FACT: The aircraft WERE secured. Trans States Airlines were getting them, the only thing that needed to be negotiated was the pay rate. Trans States Pilots stood firm and demanded fair pay to fly the airplanes.

You know what happened....the Holding Company - Trans States Holdings was formed after the higher ups realized the pilots were united. The Alter Ego Gojet Airlines was spun up as a NON UNION gig to take the airplanes instead. Then eager, selfish, union busting pilots decided to stick it to Trans States Pilots by going to Gojet.

now put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Alter-Ego only happens because the pilot group's contract's scope clause (or lack thereof) allowed it.That is what was voted on by the TSA pilots. It's only illegitimate if it is in violation of the contract. Did it suck? Yes. Illegitimate? No.

i.e. It is ONLY as illegitimate as TSA pilots doing Eagle flying while Eagle pilots were furloughed. After all, it was all legal. What's worse (Jayhub)? A union shop screwing over another union shop? Or a non-union shop screwing a union shop?

Now put THAT in your pipe and smoke it.

Who would want to on either of those aircraft? The original recipe for the success at SWA was a single fleet type, although the did fly some B727's leased from Braniff in the late 70's while waiting on 737 deliveries. Turboprops and the Japanese jet???? I doubt they would be that foolish; ie increase in parts inventories on multiple A/C, training costs out the bazoo, and quite frankly turboprops are a real crowd pleaser with the passengers (the customers).

Right On! I find it somewhat inconceivable how utterly misinformed some of the posts are placed on this thread. Some of these fresh out of college low time dumba$$es just do not get it. I can only assume they do not teach Aviation History at ERAU or UND. Maybe it should become a required course for graduation.

Incorrect. Eagle didn't create TSA to get around the union and scope clause at Eagle. TSA was not owned by "eagle holdings". BIG difference.

The interview process was very open, informative about the company history insofar as where they are and where they are going. The TSA pilots that were in attendance were given an especially warm welcome and recognition, and the entire process was very friendly and a total get to know ya. I probably won't know for a week or so, but they did tell me if I don't hear from them within 2 weeks call them. I applied back in October but due to some issues at home had to reschedule to the 11th of Jan on the interview. They were sooo coool. APPLY. I think it is a good place to work and hope I get the chance. Best of luck to all!

In case you hadn't noticed, pax hate all little airplanes, and their definition of "little" is anything smaller than a 747. Considering the "customer" of a turboprop operator is the mainline, it doesn't really matter what the pax wants. If a TP can do the job cheaper, that is probably what the pax is gonna get.
