Oh...I see, that sheds new light on things. Do you think maybe those unloyal pilots were just needing a job because they had families to care for? I mean, that seems like a pretty tough decision to me...

You're just playing now....why would you leave a higher paying job for a lateral move to "feed your family"?
Might want to ask some Eastern or CAL guys about feeding their families...

Sounds like they put these poor pilots between a rock and a hard place for sure!
Also, with the way you are putting it, it is basically equally as bad to work for TSA as it is to work for Gojet, right?

Oh, you said I'm just playing...I'm actually really just trying to understand this mess. I must be a bit confused, but you said "why would you leave a higher paying job for a lateral move to 'feed your family'?" Well...if TSA was going to furlough them, wouldn't they be making nothing, versus a lower wage that they were offered? I mean, something is better than nothing somteimes.
Also, do you have the payscale differences when all this happened? I'm really curious to see them.

the initial cadre weren't in any danger of getting furloughed. They stabbed their coworkers in the back by jumping ship and upgrading faster than they would have.

I see...what were the pay differences between the two planes nat the time, and what should they have been? I'd like to know how much they were "low-balling" there fellow employees.

Pretend like you work at McDonalds. You are only on the register. Then the boss tells you he also wants you to clean the restroom and be the fry guy and purchasing agent at their newest bigger store, but you will not get paid more. You tell him you should get paid more or more work as is the norm in the corporate world. He then goes out and hires a guy willing to do that work for less pay than you are currently making just on the register, and fires you. How would you feel towards that new guy and management?
I must disagree with this analogy due to the fact that your not working several different jobs for the same pay. It was flying a larger a/c for the smaller pay. I mean by this analogy your saying the pilots who went to G7 would throw bags, be a gate agent, be the fueler and fly the plane for what they were making at TSA. This is not true. They aren't working any more than when they were at TSA.
For clarification G7 wasn't started to get pilots to fly a 70 seat plane for 50 seat pay. It was started because TSA had a contract with American. That contract stated that TSA could not have any a/c on property larger than 50 seats so they created TSH (trans States Holdings), started GoJet & started flying 70 seat planes for United.

I think he was saying the more you do to bring in revenue for the company (fly bigger planes) is the equivalent of the Mcd's guy having multiple titles and saving the company money (increasing revenue). It doesn't have to be physical labor or multiple jobs. Whatever increases the company's profits at your expense. If it were based on who did the most "work" our FO's shoud get paid more than our CA's!
