Quote: It's not a bad deal for the junior Comair guys, who have 5000hrs of CRJ SIC time. Get in, become a CQFO, get your time and leave. It's not for everyone, for sure, but it's better than being unemployed.
Comair hasn't had junior guys since 2007.
One list!....... Filler filler filler

I was in that range.... Junior for 5 years...

I had more guys below me when I got off IOE then I did when I quit 3.5 years later.
Quote: At least the Comair guys now know which airline they should be submitting their resumes to.
I'll just hide in the lav and get my number when GoJetsssss comes for the plane.

it's only a matter of time before they start raiding ops and
Shanghaiing pilots.

why wouldn't he? Let's see. Your company would get a new hire who is current and typed in the aircraft. I am sure that training costs for your company would go down because of just that reason.

I really hope the floodgates will open soon so that our brethren from Comair could apply and get on with mainline before applying to another regional.

To me, this proves that DL does not care about customer satisfaction. The performance numbers consistently show GoJets is not doing well (even when adjusted for LGA ops.) Clearly, the cheapest is all DL cares about. What's the motivation to do well as a DCI pilot? We're constantly told that good performance will be rewarded but that is obviously not the case.
IMHO: You get what you pay for!
DL didn't learn when they brought Mesa (Freedom) to cvg a few years back. Nothing against the pilots, but the mgmt. was bad

You're right.

So does everybody.

In my class and up to July, GoJet has hired 25 furloughed pilots all with 6000+ TT and 121 pic, my sim partner was a 6 year Comair furlough pilot. We have at least 40 Comair & Pinnacle pilots in the training pipeline. We have qualified people, most will not be here more than 1 year. I would suggest if you need a job, apply. The situation for Comair pilots is awful but they need to move fast. One of your top union reps has.
Where are they going?
