Then follow your own advice and get on with yours. I rather have mine as clean as my conscious. Working for your company would make some of us feel very dirty. With that said, you know where some of us stand and we know where you stand. Good luck to you and hope it ends the way you dream about.
I would venture a guess and say they already have enough qualified FO's who are getting close to the captain mins. I need about 400 hrs for the 4500TT and I will not rot in the right seat at Gojets on reserve trying to get 400 hrs. Reserve flat out sucks. I am not gambling by going over there for $25/hr. Been back on reserve for a year and pushed to the bottom at Comair! Screw that again! I like my chances without Gojets! That's my story and I am sticking to it!

That's true, for now. The pilots at Colgan in 07-08 said the exact same thing when the Q400 kept coming online. Look at the situation at Colgan now. Growth and upgrade will stop just like every regional. Some of these new guys have to decide if they want to be stuck at GJ as an FO or reserve CA when the upgrade time stop and Delta or United start moving airplanes around again.

An out and back? Do you really think that's all it's going to be? Someone mentioned a train wreck and it might not have been about this issue. But, man oh man, a train wreck is coming. Forgive me while I step back and let it happen without me.
Really, don't worry about me. DAL hasn't and you shouldn't either. I've got my plan B.
And sorry, I have to disagree about the not accomplishing anything rhetoric. I have principles and I'm sure as heck not about to compromise them over some DAL greedy business. My family, my friends' and relatives' families, etc. etc. will never ever give a cent to DAL again. It goes deeper than just just what you see on the surface. Maybe a small dent, but a dent nonetheless.

Like I said, I admire those who stand on principle. Even if you will never go to goJets, all I'm saying is "taking a break" on the unemployment benefits when you have other choices (or can pursue and network other choices but choose not to) is a huge mistake and will not serve you well in the long run. Regardless of goJets, I'mjust urging guys to manage their careers for their long term interest rather than cutting off their nose to spite someone else's face.

I haven't heard much talk about unemployment. In fact, quite the opposite. Lots of guys are out there looking for flying jobs and sending resumes out. Very few are looking forward to collecting unemployment, if they have to resort to that.

There are literally thousands of pilots with thousands of hrs PIC both in jet/turboprop.... Don't think that because you have 1000hrs PIC that mainline job is yours... ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.airlinepilotforums.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Let me ask you something... You were at OO, left for corporate then went to 9E, I am presuming for that quick upgrade, right? How'd that workout? Now you went to GOJet chasing that quick upgrade again... Remember "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Never worked at 9E. 00 then fractional (loved it) and then furlough--then back to the world of regional flying at G7 and GOT that quick upgrade. Like I said earlier--not going to another regional and sit in the right seat for several years again if I can help it. True--- upgrades will eventually slow down at G7, but for now-- they are moving nicely. A regional is a regional is a regional--contract flying. 00 does not own 1 single route that they fly----just another contract carrier. Good luck.
