What contract are you calling garbage? Our current contract is industry average or better in most areas.

I've heard we might be getting more aircraft on the UAL side.

Just a rumor of course.

Unfortunatly, many of us G7 guys are former OH guys. We (myself at least) feel like we were let down by the other regionals who wouldnt hold the line and defend Comair flying. Now, these same people critizie us for doing what is best for our family.

It simply stings a little.... That's all.

Hey what happened to Comair sucked, no doubt... However, going to GoJet was your choice... Now that upgrades have stopped and classes on hold that decision doesn't look so hot. We have former OH'ers here at OO, there's some at Express Jet, Air Whiskey, Corporate, Compass, RAH ect.... Going to GJ is a poor choice.

Again, this is just my .02 and isn't worth the TP I wipe my arse with.

There's plenty of OH guys here at TSA as well. Don't forget, TSA is one of the few other regionals who tried to hold the line. G7 is the result of that. So, yeah, it stings a little to be told we're somehow the "bad guys" for trying to hold the line. (unfortunately, it worked about as well for us as it did for you guys)

G7 was created as a result of your union trying to play hardball with the company without protection. When TSA offered their pilots the 700 flying, the union didnt think the payrates were fair (valid point), but the union never had the required leverage to counter-offer, because yall's scope allowed the creation of an alter ego. Hulas is a weasel. Weasels do this kind of BS.

There wasnt going to be any negotiation involved anyways, and Hulas knew this.

TSA created G7 because the scope in TSA's pilot contract allowed it. As simple as that.

With that said, I would probably have beef with any pilots that jumped ship at that precise moment. But I sure as hell wouldnt point a finger to a comair guy for making a decision that he thought was best for him. Hell, I never heard any other regional pilot group offering money from their monthly paycheck to pay for those Comair pilot's bills and mortgage.

TBucket, honest question here: I know all this G7 stuff happened before you where even hired, but do you know if any pilot actually jumped ship from TSA to G7 when it was started? No sarcasm here, honest question...

No one put a gun to your head and forced you to work for any "d-bag" airline. That was your choice and yours alone. And don't start with that I-needed-to-feed-my-family bullspit either, 'cause we ain't buyin' it.
What? No picture?

Yes, there was a good sized group that jumped over as a seniority grab when they started it up. While I won't name names on an internet forum, they're rather well known.

Personally, I have much less of an issue with a comair guy going over there now than I do with the original bunch or the SJS kiddies chasing the "quick upgrade".

Regardless of what the TSA union did or didn't do correctly at the time G7 was formed, had we pilots (in general) had enough solidarity to NOT GO WORK THERE, they would have had no choice but to negotiate a fair contract. The people who took jobs there and prevented that from happening are the ones I have issue with.

Dare I say it, But I think we agree on a very basic point. No one will stand up for anything in the Regional Airline Space. It's a shame to be sure-- but it's the way it is on a basic level
