Most of people's knowledge likely comes from people who do work or have worked there. I have 3 friends there, and I know 3 who have left. 2 are unhappy that still work there, 1 is in training so I don't think he knows what's what just yet, and the 3 that left all have very different yet equally troubling reasons for leaving. Most would agree GoJet isn't a good place to work, especially in today's hiring environment.

Things are fine at BJ, until they have any reason not to want you there. Then they aren't so good. During the good times you just have to ignore what you see them do to others. For a new guy it is great, each guy above you that they destroy means you move up a number. It's similar to being a kamikaze pilot, everything is fine until it's your turn for things not to be so fine. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes the excitement of wondering when it will be their turn.

And this is why it is a good thing to be in a Union!

But it looks like they are moving in the right direction ($8000 bonus, 4 free hotels for commuters).
And frankly, no complaints from the few pilots I know working for G7.
I was mainly referring to the new TA they are working on and close to be final, hopefully it will be good!
Can you confirm this rumor of new planes?
Yes by the look of my post count on here I don't participate in debates much. Probably cause I'm flying 80 hours a month and only off 11 days and have better things to do in my minimal free time than to argue and compare apples and apples but I feel like I should give some of my personal input since I am what many of you call a G7 "scab" guy.

Ok so I was hired here in July 2014. Left my Gulfstream job of 2 years not by choice. When the owner decides it's time to sell the airplane you kinda have no say lol. I figured I'd bite the bullet and 60% pay cut and come to the airlines. Something I'm still getting used to. Mainly the paycheck but we all know where that talk leads to. I can't really compare my training at G7 to anywhere else since I have no comparison but I will say they seemed organized and everyone I dealt with was very professional in manner. By start of training to end of IOE took about 3 months and I found myself reserve in STL. Flew 50 hours and sat reserve for one month and I've held a line ever since.

Now I'm sure other guys have different experiences than me and I'm not saying I'm "drinking that koolaid" but overall it's not as bad as people make it seem on this forum. Probably because the majority of bad juju that's talked about on here is people who don't even work for the company. I came from a place where it was 4 star hotels and red carpets every place we flew into. G7 of course is not but every job is what you make of it.

Now back to what Concorde001 is saying I completely agree on. Sure we don't have a contract yet and who knows how long it will be but in the past couple months things have started to look up. Classes are filling up more than they used to. I think the last one I heard had 14. Being that I am a commuter this new commuter clause (4 free hotel nights a month) has helped me alot as I'm sure others too. Of course I don't believe in rumors or new airplanes until I find myself sitting in one but I will say I have heard it from several people including what I would call credible sources of us getting -900's. That is possibly why they are really ramping up on the upgrades. Supposedly the big news comes in April but who knows when or if it will happen.

Anyways guys that's enough out of me I'll crawl back into my cave and watch the rest of this from the sidelines. You all can say what you want but I think we all know we're here in the regionals for one reason.

Default Think and do research *real research*

Ladies and Gents, please do some real number/market research before making a decision. If you don't and still decide to go to GoJet its ok, you will see it all to be true within your first year. Here is a link that I found to be extremely helpful and insightful. I worked there for a couple of years and left the industry for about a year. Now, my personal life took a flip so I am back and extremely happy with where I chose to go. In any case, don't listen to rumors, or make decisions based on them. Don't always listen to your friends at GoJet. I had friends there before I joined who told me it was good and I felt like strangling them afterwards but, it was my decision not theirs. Ask those who have been in the industry a while and can truly have enough experience to make the comparisons and give accurate advice. Good luck to all.
