Yes I read the memo on obey365. Once again they did not give me the detail as to why they are withholding the money that I earned from me. It was a very generic memo stating they made a mistake and they are taking the money back. I was never given any reason on what paycheck they overpaid me on what dates on what specific flights, again they have not given me any specific information as to why they withheld my pay other than it was a mistake.
Yes I come to this public forum to let other beware the discrimination this company practices against the members of the military as well as the racism in this company. I don't spend any significant time in any of the crew rooms so I am not aware in what crew room on what day and what time that 10 minute conversation took place. The court documents are published and that is worth more than any conversation that has happened in any crew room. I was hoping that perhaps since you happen to know more you would share it but I call BS on your story since you are not able to publish any details. I on the other hand have published very specific details on every aspect you have questioned me.
Im personally not interested in meeting you nor knowing who you are. I don't drink and even if I did I am not interested in sitting down to talk to you about anything war stories or not, since you can not share any specifics anyways what value added would such conversation bring.

Congradulations Mr. Hood. A lot of people don't realize that what you were able to do, getting in and getting out, was a great accomplishment. Everyone has the worry that they might screw up and kill their career. At some airlines you have to worry also what circumstances out of your control might make it more economical for the airline to destroy your career in order to meet one of their needs. There have been a lot of airlines like this over the years but it is worse now because the PRIA gives an airline like this the ability to squeeze you by the balls. Airlines of this genera will make maintenance sign off planes so they may fly when they should not, or pilots fly airplanes that should not fly. They may make people change maintenance logs or other paperwork to hid things of the past. Do what they say or they will fire you. Many of you are thinking, go ahead and fire me! Try getting another job when you try and explain this to the person interviewing you. Nobody wants to believe that there are airlines that do things like this and if they do they don't want to get involved. When these airlines violate the law and you are fired, the first question you will get in your interviews about this is, "Isn't that illegal? That will be followed by, did the union do anything? Did you file a lawsuit?" Well, yes it was illegal, the union is grieving it so the new airline won't hire you because if you win the grievance you will leave to go back. If you filed a lawsuit then who will want to hire you when you have a history of suing your employer. If you didn't file a suit then what you are saying must not have any basis. Basically, with PRIA you are not going to win. File a suit and get a 500,000 court award, ok, will the next employer want to take the chance that you might sue them. There is no substitute for going to an airline of quality.

Is GJ getting EMB170s? I was looking on the recruitment site and it has both CRJ and EMB downloads. I read that sister carrier Compass is losing 6 EMB170s this year so it's interesting.
Does GJ have a commuter policy? If ORD, let's say, has delays, as always, and you just can't get there, what happens? Also, what if you get bumped off of flights to get to work? There is only ORD flghts from where I live. Everything else would be two legs to commute. I am already CRJ rated and see the bonuses are for DECs as well.
I would prefer the CRJ over the EMB 145. I would love Piedmont, and the Dash 8 honestly, but I do not see that happening. PHL would be better too but but but... Travel and Health bennies are important too. AAs travel is free but it's hard to get on the jets and it seems AA does not care where as at least DL does. I think UAL is good too.
This year will be interesting for the regionals. Seems like most are going to run out of people. I think PSA will take Air Willy over. Not sure the future of others.
Btw, I worked, as a Captain, for Hulias in a previous life and had no problems.
Thanks as always for the info.

Everything is status quo here and running pretty smoothly. We are about to enter year 2 of the contract, which bumps 1st year FO pay to 36.96/hr and 1st year street captains to 68.23/hr. Currently there is a 12k bonus for FO new hires, and another 5k for both captains and FOs if you have a CL65 type.
New hire FOs are holding lines straight off training in ORD, DTW, RDU and STL. Takes a few months to hold DEN, and around a year to hold a line as a FO there.
Street captains can hold STL, ORD, DTW and RDU straight off IOE. Expect around a year up to 3 minimum to hold a line as a street captain, best case scenario and depending on the base. Around 1.5 - 2 years to get to DEN as well.
Upgrades are as soon as you have the required time. I think the most junior FO upgrade was 6 months, but came in with some prior 121 time.

Word is an FO can hold a line in Denver in a couple of months now
