another thing ive heard : " When I get to SWA( or insert airline here) and see a GJ pilot on the new hire list I am going to the CP to get him fired"

THIS is completely my favorite! Heres how it will go unfortunately :

CP = Cheif Pilot

WP = Whining Pilot ( unjustified at that)

WP : Sir , so and so in the new hire class is a dirtbag and a bad person....blah blah or a scab.....( insert lie here)

CP : Well how do you know him/her and what did they do?

WP: ( has to lie at this point ) ....uh i dont know them really.....but they are scabs....

CP : they crossed a picket line?

WP: uh no....but they are scum

CP: ok how so....

WP: tells GJ story

CP : thanks for coming in

after WP leave.....CP laughs and thinks where did they get THAT loser from!

goarmy is so right, it's ridiculous. Unions are so stupid, people who **** me off the most are the bag handlers who work for united! LOL! I could find mexicans off the street who'll toss bags for like, $4/hr and food!

GoJets is what the airlines REALLY NEED! People who are willing to do work for low wages, and not worry about upper management having to worry about ends meet to pay their pilots!

Airlines have this already bud.......they are : Gojet, RAH, AE, Skywest, TSA......all of the above...plus too many more to list.....

I know you are all excited about getting hired at your first airline.....BUT a regional is NOT a place to spend a career.....get your time and move on.......the ones that are angry here are : too young to think for themselves use common sense, people that want to leave their regional but cant, people that want to stay forever at their regional.....get whats needed to move on....if not be prepared to deal with the 'kiddie table' at Thanksgiving for the rest of your career. Gojet didnt ruin your career......because you should want more from your career than a lifer at a regional.

well said army, this forum is more about a bunch of express jetters straight out of ATP, and no one owes them anything...There are a few that paid their dues, but no GOjetter ever owed them anything, and vice versa....

yea, i applied to united in october of 2001, but they never called back, lol, wtf right?

as of right now, i quit my job at the regionals and i just send out my applications to majors while collecting welfare checks. why fly when i dont wanna spend the rest of my life at the regionals right!

speaking of kiddie tables, i heard that express jet has been having some contract negotiations still, right? I'm just thinking of starting my own airline called "HollaJets", and we can tell the white collars there that instead of worrying about contracts, to just give us the flying. We can fly for $12/hr, and i'm gonna go have career fairs at community colleges for pilots. Oh, btw, i hate this whole "Block or better" garbage. wtf is with that, right? Pilots should only get paid what the COMPANY says they should get paid, so ground delays, or holding for 1/2 hour isn't really working, it's what the company says is working! Who's with me!

I love this whole "brainwashing" principle. Any retard can see how screwed up the entire thing is. You two can go talk to mainline pilots who won't let GoJets on their planes

Were TSA FOs prohibited from going to GJ? Why act like its your career airline and throw a fit? Go get the pic time and leave.....I work at AE and if they started another carrier I would go.....plain and simple....and so would most of the FOs over there......this pretend loyalty to a regional carrier like they hold your pension is ridiculous.....wake up!

Sig right about this whole topic......the VAST majority of the ones with their little feathers ruffled are kids who have no clue what a scab really is....and are looking for some sort of drama to justify their barbie jet careers.

As for finding mainline pilots who wont let them on......good luck.....VERY VERY VERY rare!! Mainline pilots were and ARE hurt by ALL the regionals!!! ALL of them! If you think they care about this GJ stuff you are lost......at the least extremely misinformed.... have fun!

Amen !!! I would LOVE to sit down with a 20 something kid who just got out of college or ATP, or some FO/CA at a non union regional carrier...and have him enlighten me on how to manage my career.....what a joke....ill leave these boys in the dust....id take my chances with GJ for the quick upgrade, if i could afford the switch to FO for a short time but i cant right now....i would be willing to bet that I would be successfully finishing up my probationary year at the carrier of my chosing :-)

stop your annoying barking at peoples heels.......its getting nowhere....but in the mean time I am going to love watching the young ones get all red faced about this and then laugh at em.

an abitrator has ruled GJ is NOT an alter ego and NOT a violation of the contract with TSA.....any questions? this is old news......btw...they are and will get new contracts for flying....RFPs change hands all the time....part of the regional life......wasnt in the brochure?? tough..

an arbitrator has ruled that TWA pilots could flow back to AE as CAs.....

I might not completely agree with either of the above.....but its how it is....

we have contracts to prevent major abuse of us as workers....but mainly its about membership with ALPA and IBT.....the dues are $$ ch-ching for them ....duh
