Don't get me wrong, I'm all for fighting AGW, even though I know it is overblown. However, carbon taxes are a no go. I would be all for spending more than a trillion tax payer dollars on next generation nuclear power, that is an investment that will pay off without higher taxes, and enrich everyone, not just a few green energy company investors.

I also don't agree with current policy to fight AGW. I'm not a policy expert, but what is most frustrating is there are two sides, tax and spend and "I don't believe in it and even if I did, God will fix it." I'm all for an approach that significantly reduces carbon emissions that is fair to all parties. I don't know whathat that is, but I'm certain the answer isnt "just get out of my business and it'll fix itself because, capitalism."

Junk science is a branch of thought that may be too complex but mainly because it goes against our narrative of life. Oil is considered bad but is the single thing that makes a pilots job possible. The military decided that it would be an important one back when planes were hard to fly. Somewhere along the way it became a fashionable vocation for wealthy kids. Any threat to this situation is the real reason that climate change simply can't be true. It would be perfectly plausable if it didn't threaten to cramp our style.
