Heyas Saab,

I dated a girl who did that. She and I didn't really get a long. I'm fairly laid back, and she was type A to a 't'. The kind that has the cell phone/crackberry glued to her ear all the time. Kinda pushy and fairly obnoxious, at least to me.

I spend a considerable amount of effort to make my life as hassle free as possible...you know, do a lot of stuff in advance, so I can be lazy and lay around. Drove her NUTS.

No reflection on your fiance', tho. I realize that kind of job requires a certain type of "go", but man, you don't have to take it home with you.

This causes soldiers to leave the service and go to the private security field. Further decreasing our military man power, losing good leaders and combat experience soldiers within the military. If the US had excess funds after being able to provide soldiers with better equipment then I would have no objections to contracting out but that has never been the case. Dedicated soldiers that are willing to go to a combat zone for his/her country should not be taken for granted by its leaders with low quality or lack of equipment. And then pay billions to contractor companies that use the same money to buy top rated equipment for their contractors and still turn a HUGE profit. Something in this just doesn't add up.

That is the truth there.

Im not getting into alot of the details, but when you shoot someone they should die... Not keep running at you... We need bigger rounds. The body armor is antiquated. Don't even get me started on our vehicles...

We should just get together at a bar and get tanked. I owe rascal a beer anyhow.

We are all volunteers... There are VERY few if any Vietnam era draftees still in service today. We know full well what we signed up for. To call us whiners? When? We get paid squat, have the worst living conditions ever... Tell me when you as a commuter at a ****ty hotel ever had to think about a mortar hitting your tent and blowing your ass to hell and back? And that is even if you get a tent... Do you even know how many nights we spend in some god forsaken hole in the ground? The term Dig-In has real meaning.

We don't complain about QOL, Benefits, or Pay. We are here for a higher cause, I won't wave a flag and say we are here to fight for freedom, and protect the States... Albeit true, however, We are here for our fellow soldiers. We are one. I would gladly die for the man/woman next to me. No matter race, creed, or color.

I say again, We are one. We accomplish missions and tasks that most corporations are envious of... If the pilot group could take something from us, it would be UNITY. Our all for one and one for all mentality, would serve a good purpose for you... However, Some of you dont get it.

You name me one other profession, that you have a very good possibility of getting shot at, blown up, or otherwise hurt for 2,200.00 a month...

My point being, you should never ever, I mean ever compare the Military to a pilot group. We do things you could only imagine. We are a cohesive group. You are a bunch of smaller groups that sometimes work together...

The apples and oranges addage comes into play here. How you can even begin to compare the two, I dont know.

And no, soldiers do not have the right to complain... As a soldier you give up certain rights and privleges... Free speach is one of them. You do as you are told, all the way up. No complaints, no if ands or buts. Do your job. That is all. Everyone has a job, if we all do it, then we survive(mostly) and get to go home. If one person does not do his/her job dozens are in danger. We dont get meetings, votes, or petitions to try and change what we think needs changing...

That is about it, this post kinda long, but nothing like the scalding one I was going to put up.
You think you have it bad? Let me tell you about the crap we had to put up with in Vietnam.

Just kiddin'. Thanks for your service.

Could you please let your wife know that the new runway at O'Hare isn't located in Chicago; it's actually closer to Milwaukee? That runway seems like it's about 5 miles from the terminal.

I know...wah, wah.

We had to walk five miles, uphill, both ways just to get to a chest-deep rice paddy to cross...

please. Teachers take the cake in the whining category. (At least the ones that never worked a real job before becoming a teacher.)

They get every fake and real holiday off (2 weeks for christmas and new years, a week for easter), every summer off, and they even get off when it snows out. Countless half days too. Yet they still make more than most people that have the same degree and work 12 months out of the year instead of 8.

The only one I know that doesn't ***** about it is my friend Frank, because he did a corporate gig for a year before ditching it to become a teacher. he knows what the real working world is like and thinks he now has the "Best and easiest job in the world"

yet talk to some other spoiled brat that never had to work thru college or highschool and they will tell you just the opposite. I have no sympathy for them.

Hrm, whining about whining? Just giving you guys crap.

Secondly, Thanks for all the guys posting that have and are serving the country, I thank you!

Thirdly, what was this about again? Oh yeah, it's hitting everyone, and I think most folks are just outright nervouse. Hopefully sooner than later the country as a whole will have something else to talk about.
