Doosh. TOTD.

Flying is inherently bad for the environment, as is pretty much everything humans do. Trying to consume less and minimize my impact on the environment makes me a “doosh”?

Alrighty, the 100% hit rate on someone who writes it "doosh" actually being one themselves, remains untarnished.

Doosh. TOTD.

Flying is bad for the environment, and flying inefficiently is even worse.

that's kind of nerdy. now if you're trying to impress and hook up with one of the F/A (60+) grannies, then I get it.

This is the big problem.

Try dragging A-10s across the Atlantic and then speeding up when you pass them off. If you don't get clearance to speed up, you will hear about it.

You should also go to an NRA convention and tell them that guns are bad for people.
Or a big car show and say that car accidents kill people.

Instead of complaining about fuel burn rates on APC, why don't you write an email to the CSAF and dime out your USAF "brethren" who are so cruel to the environment. In fact, write your Congressmen and tell them your Wing needs less of a fuel budget for the year so you can fly Best Endurance everywhere you go. Tell 'em it is better for the Environment...

regardless of your stance on the environment, wasting fuel (in this case tax payer $$$) for no good reason is stoopid.

That escalated quickly. I really think your comparisons are a bit of a stretch. I opined that to needlessly waste tax payer dollars while exascerbating our impact on the environment for no operational purpose is a foolish thing to do. Not really sure how that is in any way controversial. I also take umbrage to your insinuation that I would “dime” out my Air Force buddies. Maybe I am totally off base here? Only been at a major for less than a year so I’ll defer to my elders if I’m on the wrong side of this whole debate. Happy New Years!

Did you know that your cleared mach can be amended, just like any other element of a clearance?
