Nothing about positive space. All he said was he was assigned a seat.

Woops. I was reading everyone else's posts talking about it being a positive space DH and just assumed that's what he had said I guess. Sorry!

If you are listed for the JS and are assigned a seat in the back, you definitely still need to check in with the captain (except maybe not on Delta, but I still do anyway just to be safe). Positive space, not so much.

The best ones are the guys that yell at Netjets or FedEx guys on a full fare, positive space ticket. They’re usually Platinum level too. Yes, that has happened.

I'd ask for his name and file a complaint. There's absolutely no reason to treat a paying customer this way.

This happened several years ago. I wasn’t a “paying” passenger, just a regional pilot deadheading on a mainline flight.

I qualify for one of the above. I welcome Capt doosh to try that on me. I will probably ignore him while ordering a cocktail. :D

I'm a Delta gold and travel on Company paid tickets. Even so, I always check in with the Captain (usually before he gets in the jet) just to let him know there's a qualified ABP in the back. I also let the F/As know my seat assignment in case they need any assistance.

Yeah, filing a customer complaint probably probably isn't a good idea in that case. Guy's still a douche, though.

You're not that important. I'd rather you not interrupt my pre-push chill time, but even if you do I'll still welcome you with open arms :D

I once flew with a furloughed US guy who kept his hat on all the way to cruise alt. Then has asked if I thought it would be OK if he took his hat off now? I said "um, ok..."

Off came the hat, the dude had a pony-tail down to his arse. We actually had some good times as the line bid paired us up routinely.
