There is a reason they call it the cockpit.

And a reason that this site is called Airline PILOT Central Forums.

I have no problem with them as equals in the sense that they are people and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect (at least most of them). I have an issue with those few who cross over from that concept of equality to thinking they have equal responsibility and authority on the aircraft. WRONG! If in doubt, check the FAR's and pretty much any GOM, yet somehow that doesn't seem to clear the concept up for them. I nominate those few for TOTD and a pink-slipping to drive the point home.

that's what I do when you're jabbering away with your fellow FAs about your cats, cat sweaters, cat food, kitty litter, hairballs, cat puke, who has the most cats, who wants the most cats, etc. on the van at 0500.

Hahahaha! Don't forget the cat pictures on the cell phone that they have to pass around the van. "See! This is Mr. Muffin! He's so cute crawling all over my countertops! See! See!"

Any "man" who cIiticizes another man's attire. Aren't there fashion boards out there for that?

I'm willing to bet none of you have the balls to show your disdain for your FAs openly. Much better to do it here.
I am more than willing to tell someone they need to find another line of work if they, (a) can't put their bags up because they are too old or out of shape, or(b)
can't fit in the jumpseat without an extension. Too hot in back? The air is set at 70 and you are 50 pounds overweight wearing polyester.

I have told some F/As that they would never have been hired in this industry before 1990. That is only said when they complain about how tough they have it. 90 % of the time I don't say anything more than the crew briefing. I have done this airline thing for a long time. I am constantly lowering my expectations and I usually see them sinking further. The trailer park has a pipeline to our Inflight recruiting.

Sorry for the drift. A long day with cat wranglers, you see. I will take my tool and go now..
