GoJet captain with huge neon pink sunglasses propped up on top of his head at gate B18 in ORD at 1745 local time on May 1st 2013. He was bragging to everyone in the jetway about how cool his sunglasses were and how jealous we must all be of them. Then he yelled at some passengers for standing in the wrong spot while waiting for their gate checks.

Tool.

Thats funny, because i think i saw his republic airways brother jump seating last week. He had his sunglasses right next to his epaulets. Some how he ended up sitting behind me, I could not help but overhear his conversation to the FA how "I can be a CA on the Q400, but who wants to fly props?"

Always a great ice breaker.

I like that. I'll have to use it in the future I'm sure.

Right up there with the Republic FO, who was telling people he flew for mainline. I guess the $37 an hour rate doesn't matter.

Guys who say they are "laid back" and then proceed to micromanage the entire flight.

Most dreaded first day introduction...

"Hi, I'm laid back, by the book and just want to have fun."

I've heard that 4 times and every month was an eternity.

Reply: "Son if you are going to be a smarta** you can find another ride." The FO did the whole mime a gun in his mouth schtick after this exchange. That's going to be a loooong 4 day.

If someone is (actually) laid back, by definition, they're wayyyyyy beyond telling everyone.

As for the jumpseater with the motorcycle license, I would note the cockpit is certified to hold more than one tool. You want to be teen-age like in your answers, don't be surprised to find out you're still eligible for time-outs. Suck it up, don't cry on the web, even via proxies, and just have your licenses ready next time.
