Should add that he did all this in cruise. Pretty nasty seeing his used floss in the flight deck garbage attached to my seat.

Perfect segue to the toothpick guy. There are lots of them.
After food, out comes the pick, and the guy is mining for nuggets for 5 or 10 minutes. That's bad enough, but then comes the "oral fixation" stage, where the same toothpick becomes a wobbling distraction while he sucks, gnaws, and fiddles with and on it for hours, like a bad 1950's movie hood. I really don't want to see a wobbling piece of wood hanging on your lip every time you talk. May as well stick a big piece of broccoli between your front teeth. |
Tobacco chewers. One of my favorites. Jump seating transcon once, and the styrofoam spittoon the skipper was depositing his excess into, spilled on the floor of the cockpit. That was pleasant.
He was more concerned about a replacement rather than the mess. Can't remember if he asked his stick buddy to help with the clean up. |
Suerez and his overbite........and refs who add 6mins to a game. lost $50 of my meager RAH pay.

Flying with a CA who's so concerned with making that extra .1 per leg that we're flying 20 to 30 knots slower than econ cruise. Asked for 5L @ Raleigh last night just so we could bag another .1 taxiing. I watched the guy changing the cruise airspeed in the FMS EVERY 5 minutes! LGA-MKE was the most painful. Intermittent light chop at 240 & above; so he levels at 220. We spent the last 45 min inbound to MKE @ 16,000 and 250 indicated. SUPER F'ING TOOL
I'm all for making a few bucks extra if you can, but this guy is ridiculous. Badgering the gate agents to get the door closed 5 to 10 min early, only to sit on the gate. Making the American guys look like SWA by taxiing as slowly as possible. Even going so far as to watch the ACARS and tell the FAs to hold on opening the door until the clock rolls on to the next minute. Unbelievable. It wouldn't be so bad if he had an actual personality. He was "in radio" as a DJ for years, apparently. His PA announcements are over the top. Had to listen to a 5 minute dissertation about the cities along our route of flight from ATL to DCA- at midnight. Shut up already! Everybody wants to friggin sleep! Douche. |
Booger pickers...... Nothing like looking over and seeing the other guy playing Dig Dug. Even better if they wipe it on something in the cockpit.
"Dude.... You're making me hungry.....". (and I was the disgusting one) |

I nominate the cat rancher that brought her own cat while on duty.
They departure was out of Kuwait to the US....I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the kitty carrier (and yes, there was a cat inside). |
