I always make sure that my headphones are at hand for the 4:30am van ride. All you're getting out of me at that time of the morning is "Good morning" and "before start checklist"...

The fact that we're chatty is due to two reasons:
(at least for the female variety of FA)
1) females are generally more verbal than males, and
2) flight attendants actually have personalities.
sorry, but I just couldn't resist.....
Ha! I totally agree..

Not too long ago, we flew with a couple of girls that really, really enjoy flying with each other, and they had a fascinating conversation about their layover, and the (imaginative) things they did together.
"Pics or it didn't happen", we said.
Turns out it happened.

Back to the original thread.....
My Tool of the day is the moron Captain the left the battery switch on all night. The batteries were dead when we showed up the next morning & we got to wait for 5:20 in an over crowded terminal with a mob of ****ed off pax for a new battery.
His only activity that day was to DH back to base, and yes, he was on a GS.

I know the Captain is ultimately responsible, but how do you know that the FO wasn't the last out?

On a ELP layover the whole crew was having beverages in the bar at happy hour. Some guys came up and asked us what we were doing in ELP. We told them we were engineers getting ready to build a subway around ELP. They believed it and were very enthusiastic about the idea. Of course, looking back on it, they may have been thinking we were building it for the import market.
