Seriously though, being a pilot is actually really "cool" in doctor circles though, just as people think being a doctor is quite interesting at various FBOs. I'd love to hear about pro pilot adventures at a bar, but I'm a geeky married dude. That's the only type of person you'll "pick up."

It turned out the local rampers had figured out they could light up the cabin with the emergency lights. They got a talking to....
The rampers turned on the APU and ran it all night so they could watch movies in 1st class.
Nothing like burning 500 gallons of Jet-A to watch "Iron Man III" in comfort.

We left our 737 for the overnight once in CCS, came out the next morning to find the left fuel tank about 3,000lb less than the right...

Almost as epic as every morning FA going ballistic about turning on the APU to make coffee slightly earlier. Yeah a $500/hr coffee maker that makes hotel room quality coffee with hose water for 6 or 7 people max. You could buy them the highest maintenence drinks made at Starbucks and still save hundreds per flight. Got big picture?
