They're a tool for writing such a long and boring article! Sounds like some wannabe investigative reporter to me lol
Otherwise, they have a point regarding the takeoff and landing photos...that's stupid to divert attention at those moments. But if they're using a gopro which they review AFTER the flight then no big whoop.

The interesting thing about the T/O and Landing pics is that at least from my view, 4 out of the 6 were obviously taken from the jumpseat. Don't know many pilots who like to straddle the center console on approach. The 2 taken from the CA and FO seats are pretty foolish to post but the other 4 don't bother me in the least.

I mean a go-pro camera from the inside of a fighter jet or space shuttle seems cool, but I find it rather toolish to go-pro film an entire working leg at a 121 carrier.
For Example....

Plus a LOT (I think most) of those pics could easily have been taken from the back while DHing or non revving, etc. Most of the rest could have came from a manual wind up camera, printed out from one hour photo and then scanned. Only a tiny percentage of those pics can truly be proven to be "rule breaking".
Oh well, now the dweeb has 14:59 of fame remaining to try and find.
