I'd like to know how he got through only going 50 g's in debt? I know guys in the 6 figures who have lost their houses because their loan payments are 1200 a month. Try that on FO pay. yikes.

I bet the first regional that starts a loan repayment will have their pick of the fresh suckers, I mean pilots.

In all fairness.... no sympathy for them. They knew from the start the risks, costs, and miserable T&Cs the regionals offer.

They would care... why? I'm serious, I don't see the animosity. I think it is lame, but most people would just roll their eyes and chuckle, especially in 5 years when he applies to majors.

Now if he begged while employed at a regional or advertising how little he gets paid and naming the airline, it would be ballsy and grounds for termination.

Some people get $$$ from mommy and daddy, some get a few bucks begging on the web. Whatever.

Trust me, no major would ever want one of their pilots to be publicly associated with something like this. You get bonus points for volunteer work that would cast the company in a good light if it came to light, but not for creative public panhandling.

The City shouldn't do anything about that. Since this is clearly an issue of "social justice" its a Federal issue and possibly a hate crime by Trader Joes. Either way we need a 3000 page bill no one's read to be passed with bribes and exemptions to achieve equality. Now I know what you right wingers are thinking, that that's not constitutional or whatever, but I already thought of that.

Its for the "general welfare" which we all know superceedes the entire constitution anyway.

All stores carry goods from other states, and even if they don't, the butterfly effect eventually could theoretically effect something in another state eventually anyway maybe, so its a massive interstate commerce clause issue.

Finally, the federal "supremacy clause" kicks in and dominates regardless.

If any one of those pillars of democracy are challenged, just install a judicial activist rubber stamp to "interpret" by predetermination whatever you want, and presto: Trader Joes in your neighborbood. Bonus: you can call it a public private partnership, for great success!

I think I understand your perspective. Prior to becoming a pilot I was a hiring manager at a Fortune 100 company. I'd have strong reservations about hiring a person who a) claims to be a college graduate but can barely write, and b) used an internet begging campaign to defray his college expenses.

His inability to write means that an employer would have to invest in training him the basics of English, and if he graduated without learning basic English I would be likely to assume he didn't learn a great many others things that an employer would need to train him for. [Also, his writing does not reflect well on the university he attended or on its recent graduates.]

The fact that he thinks it's OK to beg from others to pay bills he knowingly incurred would make me wonder whether he had realistic expectations of the company. It also makes me wonder about his judgment: if he thinks it's OK to beg others to pay his school costs what else does he think is OK? Beg customers to buy his lunch, pay his rent, or fix his car, maybe?

He may be a great guy, as an earlier post indicates, but I think he has made some significant mistakes. Let's hope he takes ownership of his financial obligations and let's hope he takes a remedial English class before he ruins his reputation.

Agreed 100%.

Anthony’s true calling seems to be as a huckster-spokesperson for T.V. infomercials. This seems to be his destiny with the skills he has presented thus far in his social media setting.

Move over Vince Offer, there’s a new kid in town!

Wow, I wanna be debt free too. Gonna set up a GoFundMe account! Please help pay my Mortgage, Student loans, Truck payment, so my kids don't go hungry. We all signed on the dotted line every time we took on a debt, no one to blame but ourselves. Kinda hard to feel bad for a kid sitting on the steps of a Corporate jet, who went to a overpriced school. I took one look at the cost at UND in 2000 and knew it was way out of reach for me or my family to afford. It was Community college and State school for me. First world problems for sure!
