FWIW with ffb- Your response when you hear something that you think is jacked should always be to revert to the most conservative response, and then go "let's look that up" when you get the next chance.

Wow. I hope she understands food better than "pressurization" and "composition of air" and other complicated topics.

This is a very special kind of stupid... |
I was wondering what those other tanks were on the chemtrail truck... Nitrogen! Now, back to tend my swollen ankles.

The air you are breathing on an airplane is recycled from directly outside of your window. That means you are breathing everything that the airplanes gives off and is flying through. The air that is pumped in isn’t pure oxygen either, it’s mixed with nitrogen, sometimes almost at 50%. To pump a greater amount of oxygen in costs money in terms of fuel and the airlines know this! The nitrogen may affect the times and dosages of medications, make you feel bloated and cause your ankles and joints swell
This is a very special kind of stupid... We were in a holding pattern one day in a 727, after a couple laps, one of the F/A's calls up and says, "I think there's something wrong with the pressurization, we are losing G's in the back!" It took me several minutes to talk her down from that ledge... |
Nitrogen... Better than the methane I'm used to on my commutes.

She doesn't understand food either. If it's not organic, it's poison.

Loved the part about organs being compressed because she takes the word "pressurized" so literally. She probably thinks her organs will pop like balloons if she travels to the mountains where there's less pressure.
