Yeah, what's wrong with cardiomd? He's a pilot and has a unique perspective being an MD. We need a little less groupthink around here.

Me too. But maybe he is referencing the fact that the Bonanza is nicknamed "the doctor killer."

I'm not sure vagabond said he did any of what you say he did.

He has yet to respond, and that little question mark (?), it indicates my questioning of what he actually meant. Even so his post shows a thought process that leans toward facilitating poor CRM, even if it was a jumpseater.

One of the many problems with imternet forums is the fact that people rush to judgement and shoot their mouths off even quicker. My CRM is just fine thank you. In fact my standard jumpseat brief is to ask the jump seater to speak up if they see anything they don't like. That said, delivery is a LARGE part of the message. You weren't there. He was an insistent tool despite being mistaken. With that, I'm through posting here on what's become flightinfoV2.0. Perhaps one day we'll have a respectful forum for us to exchange info and ideas. Fly safe!

(Note: this is a possible re-post from sometime in the past, but worth repeating IMHO)

TOAD (Tool on Any Day):

Any employer (or surrogate for same) who wants a candidate to purchase their own type rating, esp. in today's job market. Like this one...

Sigma Aviation Services for Korean Airlines
Dublin, Ireland

blah, blah, blah

Minimum Requirements:
- current B747-400/800 or B767 type rating
- be prepared to purchase own B777 type rating prior to training

TOTD: anyone who would actually do this

It is a fact that you need to have a tough skin when interacting in any internet forum. You just know you are going to get hit hard at times deservedly or not. It comes with the territory. Like members in any profession are always the hardest on their own. I have never known professional pilots to cut any slack when dealing with their own. There is a gamut of personalities, biases, beliefs, egos, thoughts, and yes capabilities in the APC forums because after all, we are just humans (well, most of us anyway). :D
