Can you imagine over 43 instances of QRH-directed engine shutdowns and/or compressor stall issues at American Airlines in just over 7 weeks? What about over 28 aircraft landing under emergency status in a single domicile in a single day? Or over 86 air returns/mechanical diversions in a five day period? If Allegiant were the size of American Airlines, this would be the case.

ValueJet was doing just fine in the eyes of the general public until they yard darted an airplane into the everglades.

I think that part of the problem is that "labor issues" plasters over a lot of mold.
