Maybe a Cardiologist impersonating a pilot?

Sometimes it's easy to overlook the little things in a scam ;)

I'm not one of *those* guys at AA, at least I don't think I am, but if you can't wear something approaching a proper uniform because of a physical ailment, you shouldn't be flying. If his physician is telling him to wear that, at least get something that looks better than that. He's a fanny pack away from looking like a German tourist.

If he is having a Gout attack, he has no business working. I'd rather have needles in my eyes.

Maybe he lost his luggage or something?

I flew a revenue flight once in shorts, tee shirt, and tivas. Dropped my kid off to non-rev as a UM and the CA timed out...told they company I'd do it as long as my kid got on and they gave me PS me home. My wife wondered why it took six hours to drop off the kid at the airport.

One day a friend diverted his ANG F-102 to MSY and covered a DC-8 trip in his flight suit. (Things were different back then). :)

I had similar to your experience at the regional... my uniform was at the dry cleaners and they called for a junior assignment. I explained that, and said I'd be willing to come in... I'll just have to wear business casual. The flight was boarding by the time I got there. The looks from the passengers were amusing as I was trying to make my way down the jetbridge!

Hahaha we had one of those at my old shop! Older guy, was telling me all about the F-18 so naturally I asked him how long he flew the F-18. Turns out he was never in the military and flies the F-18 on his wiz-bang home flight sim set up. Maybe he just really likes Navy football and I made an ill-advised leap of logic.

Wow tough crowd! How do you guys know a drunk flight attendant didn't puke on his shoes?
