OP, you sort of had me at first when you start off describing the counter productive nature of tearing one another apart. I do actually find personal insults distracting, and don't get any enjoyment out of it. However, then your post morphs into a complaint about how everyone is whining. This forum is indeed a great place to gather and share information, but it's also a great place to air genuine grievances. I agree we have "good" jobs, but until you work for every single operator, you can't speak for us all. If people aren't ever allowed to express their displeasure about things, then things will never get better. So I back you up on the first point you make, but disagree about the last.

Really, you guys are worried about my timeline...you missed my entire point about the post. Stop complaining and start offering solutions. The fact that you focused on my erroneous date, (and yes I have been on here under a different profiles, and I left because of the negative attitudes) does not mean I can't have my say. I thought the purpose, was a forum for positive discussion. But by the reactions I have received, I am wrong. I believe in positive info and the fact that you want to to attack my membership only proves this. I am a professional aviator who wants to improve my lifestyle and those around me. If you want to chastise me, go for it. I just want to raise the level of discussion. Hang me now if that what you want! Just give accurate, unbiased info. It sickens me how bitter some members are. Life gives what you ask for by your attitude.

I can ***** about anything but I have 23 yrs of service in the military and it sucks. But I don't complain because they gave gave me all of my training for free. Yes you may have worked your way up through CFI to commercial to ATP but you were home every night. No 6 month deployments, no being away from your family for extended periods of time, and no overtime doesn't count. Just give your professional opinion and leave it that. Please for the sake of the newbies. Stop whining! We have the best job in the world!
B, how many regional guys are home every night?

I've been furloughed 3 times. Had several serious girlfriends bail cause they couldn't handle the job. Haven't had a holiday off in who knows how long. I two leg commute. My first one was severely delayed tonite totally hosing aforementioned two leg commute. Right now I'm on a smelly bus for $24 trying at 12:45 to get from Newark to laguardia for a 515 show time to work 14 hours and fly 7 legs to end up in godforsaken rural upstate New York tomorrow night for a reduced rest overnight. Last trip a full can of shaving cream emptied in my suitcase and it still has an over powering smell of Gillette. Oh and I haven't eaten in 8 hours. I think myself and about 99% of the guys on here have the right to complain.

@sulkair,you are the first person who understood my comment. It is not about the normal complaining that bothers me,it is the constant tearing down of our mutual profession. I see a lot of complaining with no solutions. Everyone can b-***h but what is your answer to solve it. The pics of someone flaming someone else...that's productive...really!?! I just want to raise the level of discussion to a point where a newbie can get good, useful info. Not have to sort through mindless banter about how I disagree with your point of view. And this forum has displayed very low levels of integrity.
This is just my humble and inaccurate point of view.
