My understanding is they are going to run separate ground schools for freight and if you are CVG based they will have to provide a hotel for training in HNL. If you are HNL based, no hotel while training in HNL. 🤷‍♂️

The other 16 went to Delta.

Most likely the training department can't handle the influx of new hires, CQs, requals, upgrades....

Maybe delaying to be able to send new hires to the freighter standup when they are ready to absorb them into that program? On edit: I don't know, just a thought.

Yes. When a new hire, they'll get you everything you need and multiple pilot shirts. Every year after that, you get a $230 uniform balance to use it or lose it. Interisland pilots get $190 I believe.
