Combining with Alaska Airlines for a Stronger

I doubt AS has any more politicians in their pocket than B6 does. Those little states back East have a lot of Senators for their size and a lot more representatives per square mile than the less population dense West.

Maybe but if they are operating two brands and were interested in Hawaiian, the strategic plan may be different. Maybe the 321 goes but wide body would have to be part of the scheme. “Fly West”. Need big air frames. Also Virgin was about warding off competition. This maybe a more about diversifying to look more like a Delta. I agree AAG probably did their homework on this but SWA gonna kick and scream. Not happy about this overall, but glad it was you guys and not someone else who’d bury the brand.

I'd assume Boeing widebodies, long term. but they might not rush to get rid of 330's for no good reason.

Those widebodies will be brought up early and often in the seniority list integration.

Also HAL isn't in the best financial shape, so it may be politically expedient to preserve the flying with angel investor. If HAL goes away, then it's just SWA.

Scope prevents it under our current language. A JCBA would fight against that. Also, traffic requires bigger airplanes.
