From unrealiable sources.......
Pool has 20 or so.. my bet is they'll be in class late fall or winter... window will open in the spring for classes mid-2019
How our new Japan flying affects this is unknown.... I've heard the Japan deal is really good for us.

Say there was a pilot who wanted to eventually work with HA. He's come across a fork in the road with two options. The clueless pilot should....
Option 1: Remain with the regional on the mainland that he/she has been with for about a year and a half and stick it out till that faithful day.
Option 2: Get on with Ohana and take the QOL with the hopes of being able to hope on HA in the future.

With the uncertainty of Hawaiian buying the Island Air Certificate and creating their own regional, I would say stick it out on the mainland. You will be able to build jet time and eventually gain turbine PIC which will give you insurance just in case things turn bad in the industry.
