I applied on the last day of the opening, and have only received a finish it email. I went in and finished a section I missed, and have not received anything else yet.

I seem to recall that we would know our A/C before the starting class? Anyone recall this?

Also, what was the deal with Retirement medical. I saw something referencing 5K a year put into an HSA until retirement?

What is the TA'd Per-Diem rate?

Lot's of Q's, sorry.

Why is that? I thought they ran the first advert until March 5th and extended to 7th for some reason.

So why did we receive a standby email? Either we are being considered or not!! It must mean something otherwise I presume they would have just rejected us straight away or not bothered to send a standby email.

Are you saying we will have to reapply or that we are more likely to be considered for something after the 24th of March if the TA passes?

You probably missed the window but if what Moonwolf said is correct about the TA passing on March 24th, then you may get another crack at it.

From what I understand HAL will be hiring over the next 2 years as they supposedly want to extend their pilot group to over 1000 pilots possibly as high as 1100 according to a HAL pilot I spoke to.

Correct. That's what the union guys said in the roadshow. If the TA passes more pilots will need to be hired to cover the new trip-rig credit.

No... I did not hear how many.

not sure about a/c assignment before class.

5K for retiree medical is a ONETIME thing as a new hire to an HRA, if the TA passes.

Per diem does not change with passing of TA

is ALPA National going to tell you the TA vote results on the 24th? Or is it going to take several days to get them out?

The email just said "we will let you know your status by the 24th" , so that can mean anything. They may send out another email that says they are still looking at their staffing needs now that the TA voting is complete.
As long as you don't get a TBNT, your app is still in the pile.

They need to add some non-stop flights to stateless jihad countries that their state judge just said was crucial to the Hawaiian travel industry.

I think you are reading too much into it. The pilots involved in hiring are trying to make the process better. In the past a big complaint was lack of communication, so I believe the standby email was just their way to communicate your status.

You don't have to reapply unless you get a TBNT and they open the window again.
